Watch a group of people do exactly the same thing-board a subway car and look for a seat, for example. Describe each individual in a sentence or two, using a different verb in each sentence.

A petite, older lady, with hair as white as snow, uses a cane to help her wobble down the aisle. She peers around for an empty seat, settling next to a group of silent individuals.

A handsome business man, aged in his early thirties, steps aboard and glances around, his gaze landing on a young woman with a baby. He takes quick strides, greeting her with a kiss, and sitting down beside her.

A young teen, with a beanie clad head and piercing blue eyes, parades on board, inspecting the crowd before selecting a seat in the back corner.

A child needs to do one thing over and over to calm himself down when the adults get angry. What does he do? How did he learn it?

As mommy and daddy fight, I sit in my bedroom closet, curled up in a ball. As I try to block out the noises, I close my eyes and wrap my arms around myself, rubbing my arms. I miss my sister, she used to comfort me whenever mommy and daddy fought, but now she's gone. Mommy said that sissy is happy now, that she's sleeping with the angels.
