Despite the blindfold, she knew exactly where she was.

I continue walking over the bumpy ground, my arms stretched out in front of me. One of my hands is clasped with my boyfriend's. He is taking me on a surprise date.

I can smell the grass and the wildflowers we are approaching. I can hear the rushing of the water, and there are a few birds singing their songs. Right now, I know we are in the forest because I can feel the bark of the trees on my palms.

My boyfriend is taking me to the meadow near the river. I just know it. It's where we first met, hanging out with a few mutual friends.

"You're taking me to the meadow, aren't you?" I say.

"No..." but I can tell by his voice, "okay, maybe."

"I knew it," my lips turn up into a smile.
