Lights shun in miraculous beams, loud honks of cars blares in the downtown area, the spring breeze of Chicago could be felt all throughout the night. In the black SUV that drove with ease, was Giovanni in the drivers seat and next to him in the passenger seat was Amirah.

The young black woman spoke on and on about nature, her mouth switching from topic to topic.

She started off with environment, to environmental problems, before she knew it was on animals, animals affected by climate change, then animals she wanted to keep as pets.

The more she babble on about different topics the more he became attached, the more she said the more he learned about her. He listened to his little lady speak about her passion, it wasn't just hearing all her thoughts he liked, he liked how she spoke.

Every topic spoken from her came from a deep sense of passion that most people never came from. L

However, for his Amirah she was a welcomed inhabitant of it. And he loved every part of it, it felt like an honor to hear her and a blessing to be exact.

~Giovanni's POV~
"So that's why I think penguins are better than peacocks," she said while ending her self debate on the two bird species.

She had listing up to 20 reasons why she thought that penguins were more superior than peacocks. He found it amusing, but more cute otherwise.

I brought the car to a stop at a red light, keeping my left hand on the steering wheel and leaned my right elbow on the console.

A silence came upon us momentarily until I heard "am I boring?" Amirah asked in a concerned, but almost sad tone.

I turned to her, he big eyes looked into mine. The question caught me off guard.

"Of course not, why would you think that?" Questioned concerned, I didn't want to make her upset and cause a misunderstanding to occur.

"Well you haven't talked since we've been in the car, when I tried to...you know um talked to you, you didn't respond to what I said. So I thought you were bored or maybe mad at me." She expressed solemnly playing with her fingers gently.

"Oh course I'm not mad at you, sometimes I don't talk to you well, because I like to hear your voice." I admitted to her as the light flashed green making me drive once again.

"You hear my voice all the time, what makes it so special now?" She asked with a quizzical look on be face.

"I know, but this time it's different. When you talk about things that interest you and you alone, you talk about it with a lot of passion. I want to hear you, only you when you talk. So even though it seems as if I'm not paying attention on the outside, on the inside I am and I want to know all the details." I respond calmly as I watched the road, no longer looking at her.

I turned to her as she looked stunned and somewhat flustered, when will she realize that face drives me nuts.

The drive was silent as I had the thought of the location in mind to take her. The main roads and streets soon being to minimize slowly, until vanishing all together.

Amirah's head tilted as she looked out the window and to the scenery as we came to a winding road with trees and bushes.

He faces seemed nervous as I laughed in my head at her expression. "Calm down doll, I'm taking you to a surprise. You think I'm going murder you I assume." I said to her calmly as she gasped.

I chuckled out loud as her, she looked as if she was going to turn pale. "You're just so cute when your scared sometimes," I laughed once again.

She gave me a look on annoyance as she huffed irritated and relieved, seeing that way made me bubble a bit.
