    "Kim Taehyung, I'll only say it one more time. No!"

I groan in aggravation as I follow my mom to her office. I've been trying to convince her to let me go on the trip to the aquarium, but nothing I say sways her decision.

    "Following me around is only going to make me mad," She says sitting down at her desk.

    "I'll check my temperature every thirty minutes if you want me to," I say. "I'll keep the whether app open all day and dress accordingly~"

    "You won't even tell these people about your condition, why would I let you go six hours away with them?" She asks looking up at me. "What kind of caregiver would I be if I let you do that?"

    "Can you please think like my mom and not my caregiver for five minutes," I ask. "I won't ever have the opportunity to do this again, mom. You know that."

    "If you want to go to the aquarium so bad go to the one in town," She says. "I'm your mom and caregiver one hundred percent of the time, Tae, that's not going to change. Now please, I have meetings."

    "Every second matters, right?" I ask. "That's what Dr. Choi said."

Her expression changes immediately. "You overheard that conversation?"

"I did," I say. "It's not news that I'm gonna die, mom~"

"Don't say things like that," She says frowning. "I hate when you do that."

"It's true," I say. "I just want to have fun and take advantage of opportunities like this. Because I know they're not going to come 'round again."

My mom sighs, her expression one of sadness and sympathy. "I have to think about it, Taehyung. I know you really want to go, but that doesn't mean you should."

I deflate a little. "Fine," I mumble before walking out of the office, closing the door behind me as I go to my room.
