That next morning was awkward. Heeseung managed to get a few hours of sleep. Which was a surprise, since overthinking was his middle name.

And apparently, Sunghoon had the habit to spoon the other person when sleeping.

It also didn't help that Heeseung was the one waking up first and being the one to deal with the shit.

His face was bright-red, that was for sure. He stared at the wall, not daring to move a muscle.

What was going on?

Well, he was being hugged by his enemy, who almost kissed him, then said they were friends until they would be back. They were also in an unknown place.

Heeseung cleared his throat, a habit he had when he came back to senses after overthinking something. He felt Sunghoon shift.

"Wha–?"

Oh god, he was awake.

"Good morning."

Wait, what?

"Good m-morning..."

He heard Sunghoon chuckle behind him. His breath caressed the skin just behind Heeseung's ear. He suppressed a shiver that almost went down his spine.

"Do you know how late it is?"

"No?"

He heard him sigh and felt the warmth around his waist disappear.

Heeseung moved to his back. He stared at the ceiling, then closing his eyes, hoping this was all a dream.

But it wasn't. And that was what got him out of bed. Today mattered. They didn't know what more was out there. But they will come home.

He went downstairs, to see Sunghoon try and make a decent breakfast. Keyword: try.

"You're not supposed to..." Heeseung's sentence was brutally interrupted by a loud bubbling coming from the pan Sunghoon had been holding. He hissed as he grabbed his hands.

Trust Sunghoon to burn nearly al the food that they had.

They stared at each other, both in shock at what just happened.

"Good job", Heeseung said. Or more like, sarcasmed, if that was a verb.

"I know!" Sunghoon replied, just as sarcastic.

"Just give me that!", Not waiting for a reply, Heeseung grabbed the pan. Yes, it was hot and no, he did not care.

He stared at the mess that wasn't only in the pan, but all over the entire mini-kitchen.

How did Sunghoon manage to do that? The mess looked like a kitchen after Thanksgiving, and Heeseung had left him alone for what, 3 minutes?

Heeseung started cleaning the mess up, with a dishcloth he saw laying around somewhere.

Soon, Sunghoon joined him and in silence they tidied the kitchen up.

Heeseung tried saving what he could; they ate breakfast, deciding that they would go out and search food tomorrow.

Because if they wouldn't find any...

Heeseung pressed his lips together. No, don't think like that.

Currently, he was staring at the door, doing absolutely nothing.

Sunghoon found a hobby in cleaning up. It kept him busy. It also kept him from talking to Heeseung. But... It's not that he cared, or anything.

So, what do you do when you're bored? You think. And what do you do when you're in a situation where you could be killed at any moment? You worry.

Now combine those and you've got Heeseung's mind state.

He sighed.

He sighed again.

Minutes passed.

Then he heard a surprised "What?" coming from Sunghoon. Heeseung turned his head.

Sunghoon was holding a bunch of boardgames.

"Boardgames?"

"Yeah!" The boy looked at the boardgames in his arms. "My parents and I used to play these together, before they... Well, it's fun to do."

Heeseung scanned the games. He recognized most of them, because his family organized game nights pretty often.

"I mean...," He looked at Sunghoon. "It wouldn't hurt to play them, right?"

"Cheater!"

"You can't even cheat with this game!"

It was a few hours later, the two had sat down and were playing UNO.

"Then get your +2 of my +4!" Sunghoon looked so defensive, it was kind of funny.

"You just can't accept you have to draw six cards."

He huffed and slowly took the six cards.

"Yes, I can. But you can't accept the fact that you've never properly read the terms and conditions."

Heeseung couldn't hold his laughter anymore.

"Terms and conditions?" He took a deep breath, trying to stop his giggling. "Do you mean the... rules, perhaps?

Sunghoon snorted as well and put up a funny accent. "Perhaps, yes."

Heeseung never knew that a round of UNO could be so intense, until that very moment.

They went on for at least another half hour. Every time the other had the right card to continue the game, making it feel like a battle.

Both of them had two cards. Heeseung had red nine and a +4, which respectively changed the color of the game.

Sunghoon placed a yellow three on the yellow one that was laying on the pile of aggressively put cards.

Heeseung smirked, making the other boy raise his eyebrows.

The doe-eyed boy took his +4 card and put it down.

"UNO," Heeseung said.

Sunghoon sighed, obeying and taking the asked four cards.

"I change the color to..." He continued his sentence. "... red!"

The boy opposite of him looked down, frowning and then took a card from the pile of cards that were with there back up.

Sunghoon frowned again. "Your turn."

And so, Heeseung slowly pulled out his last card and placed it on top of all the other cards.

"Victory at last!" He yelled. Sunghoon dramaticly gasped in response. It was funny how such a drama king was behind that bunch of muscles.

The silver-haired boy threw his cards on the table, looking pretty defeated for a family game. If you would add a few blood stripes on his face and gave him a sword, it would look like he lost a battle.

"I can't believe I lost against you, nerd."

"Sad you couldn't cheat your way out of this one?" Heeseung asked mocking.

"Hey, you were the one cheating, not me!" Sunghoon accused.

"Sure." Heeseung dragged out the word.

The rest of the night was filled of cheerful laughter. But both of them had a heavy heart, because what would happen if they wouldn't find food?
