Ch.3 Nuclear attack

29 april 2027, nuclear attack in Lisbon.
The bomb was heard even in Coimbra. Koonzy knew his city was next..

He could not wait anymore, he had to leave Coimbra.
But how..

Next day Squeky from London called Koonzy, he said Koonzy can escape and live in his house for a while.
The airport in Coimbra was destroyed, but there was a working airport in a little city next to Coimbra, Lousa.

They got into the car, and started to ride to Lousa..
Normally it would take up to 30 minutes.
But what will happen there.. they will not expect.

They saw a big Spanish aircraft with a nuclear bomb..
They had 2 hours and 30 minutes to escape from Portugal

They arrived to Lousa (2H left)
They runned to the check up, but there was a long waiting line.

1 hour 15 minutes left.. finally it's koonzy's time at the check up.
Koonzy and his parents bought the cheapest ticket to London.
Now they just have to wait for the airplane to arrive.
They saw a lot of crying children, mothers and fathers waiting for their airplanes..
A lot of people will die.. not every airplane will arrive at time.
Everyone there knows that.. it's not only a war against Spain..
But against the time.

There were only 35 minutes left.
Some people started praying to their gods.. some already said goodbye to their family.
A lot of planes were delayed and would arrive after the nuclear attack, so basically they would never arrive.
The plane to London would come in 20min but got delayed and will come in 25 minutes.
If they get in the plane they would have 10min to escape.
Koonzy hoped that will be enough.

30 minutes left. 20 minutes left till the arrive of the plane.
A lot of people felt in sleep or tried to sleep, they would die anyways.
They'd rather die when they were asleep..
It was just sad that only some people will come out alive..

25 minutes left. 15 minutes left till the arrive of the plane.
The personel closed the ticket booths.
Koonzy saw a family of 5 (mother,father and 3 teenage kids)
The family wanted to also escape to London. But they were 1 minute to late.
The ticket booths were already closed..
Koonzy saw them all crying and leaving the airport.

20 minutes left. 10 minutes till the arrive of the airport.
Koonzy looked at the monitor with all the flights.
All airplanes were canceled.. except 2.
1 to Paris 5 minutes before the drop of the nuke.
And 1 to London.. his plane. 10 minutes before the drop of the nuke.

15 minutes left. 5 minutes till the arrive of the airport.
Silence.. literally silence. Almost everyone felt asleep.
Koonzy was getting ready to go in the plane.
He already saw his plane in the sky.
It was a RyanAir plane.

The airplane landed.
Koonzy got in the airplane.
Exact 9 minutes left till the nuke will drop on Coimbra.
U could hear nuclear alarms everywhere.
There was a really fast checkup.
Everyone knew there was no time for a full check up..

6 minutes left..
the plane started going up.
They were safe now!
Koonzy and his parents were so happy!

some minutes later they heard a big boom from the sky and a big mushroom.
Coimbra,Lousa and other cities were destroyed..
Portugal agreed to the terms to become a puppet of Spain and form an theoreticall Iberanian Union.
34 minutes after the nuclear attack the war was over..
30 april 2027 the peace deal was signed..
