"Well I just slept with Jack an hour ago, so be mad at that." Maya snapped out before going into her room and slamming the door behind her.
Carina couldn't breathe, her heart was ripped in two. Maya had just cheated on her with Jack, and was throwing it in her face.
Getting up, she stumbled out of Maya's apartment, tears streaming down her cheeks.
It was like Arizona all over again. Only this time instead of being left behind, she was pushed away. Broken.
"Broken." The same word Maya had used to describe herself.
Carina choked back a sob at the memory. Why did love have to hurt so much? Was there something wrong with her? Something that just told people to break her heart over and over again.
The brunette could barely make out her car through her tears, could barely make out the sound of an approaching vehicle.
Until it was too late.
