The waves crashed against the sandy beach as the sun set, casting the world in a warm orange glow. Laughter and chatter could be heard all around and the smell of barbecues wafted through the air. Away from it all, near the rocky side of the beach I saw her. White dress, raven hair fluttering in the breeze, seemingly in her own little world.
She turned around and smiled and I found myself unable to look away, as if she'd bound me with a spell.
There was no mistake.
I'd found her at last.
