There was once a tale about a land where people could manipulate their surroundings for their own gain- whether that be good or bad. It was said that the people of this land had two rulers who split the island down the centre.

The ruler of the West was known as Kana and the ruler of the East was known as Huzayma.

Kana believed that the gift of manipulation was bestowed upon them from the sun god as a gift for believing and having faith; however, Huzayma disagreed and put his belief in the moon god. This one disagreement caused a rupture with the people and thus the island was split. Many years passed and rulers changed, but the two sides never seemed to mend their bond.

Although that began to change on the day of given light.

The day of given light was the one day over a period of time that the western and eastern side could seem to get along. It was a grand festival that showed that both the sun and moon were important and this would be shown by the lunar eclipse- which also closed off the celebrations. At the end of the celebration both rulers and their loved ones would make their way up the mountain that reached its summit at the centre of the island.

The king of the West brought up his son and the king of the East brought up his daughter, what no one had seen was that as the young monarchs' eyes met, their wrists burnt and upon them appeared marks that tied them together. Fate had placed upon them a bond, one that would change the world they had grown up in.

As years passed both the prince and princess would meet in the forest of stars, spending as much time as they could with each other- strengthening their bond. However at one of their meetings they were followed by their father's who wondered where both their children would disappear to.

As the prince knelt and pulled out a ring proposing to his lover, both current rulers appeared and tried to pull apart the two until they had noticed the markings on their skin. Their children were meant to be together whether they liked it or not, and it seemed that the two truly accepted this fate.

Half a decade later the two were married and the lands were joined together and the belief changed. It is now told that their gifts came from both the sun and moon as the two were soulmates and wanted to share their love with the island's people.

But surely that's just a story, right?
