Dad's Orders

"Dad are you serious!?" Cronus yelled.

"Yes, and it's final. No more seeing that Vantas boy."

"You can't do that! We love each other that'd be like killing us!"

"Are you deaf boy! I said no and that's that!" Dualscar stormed of the front room into his study.

"DAD!" Cronus scoffed. He went to his room, on the way he was stopped by Eridan.

"Wwhat did you do this time" The younger one asked with his usual smug face.

"None of your business runt." Cronus slammed his door and plopped down on his bed. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and started to text Kankri.

C: Hey babe

K: Hell9 Cr9nus.

C: Howv'vw ya been?

K: T9 6e c9mpletely h9nest, n9t well. I'm s9rt 9f regretting 6rining y9u 9ver t9 my h9me.

C: Vwhy? Is your father giwvin you a hard time. I svwear if he lays a hand on you

K: Cr9nus! Are y9u implying that my father w9uld 6eat me?

C: Vwell, um...

C: Maybe, I vwas

K: Cr9nus I can assure y9u my father is n9t that 6rutal

C: Just makin sure, I care about ya. You knowv I do.

K: Alright, 6ut 6ack t9 my p9int, I've been thinking.

C: Oh no, if you're gonna giwve me the bad newvs I think you are, can we do it in person so I don't think this is your dad.

C: It's not Mr. Wvantis is it

K: N9 it isn't him, and sure we can. I d9n't think we are thinking the same thing th9ugh.

C: Hopefully not

K: Meet at 9ur n9rmal st9p?

C: Yea

C: See ya there. Lowve ya <3

Cronus waited a few more minutes, still no answer. He gets up and tries to sneak out of the house. Dualscar sure has great timing,

"What are you doing?" Dualscar's voice echoed

"I'm going for a walk." Cronus lied.

"You better not be meeting that Vantas boy."

"Of course not, he's grounded." He looks down at his feet

"How come?"

"Because of your dumb business fighting that's why!" Cronus turns to the door to leave, his father stopping him but putting a hand on his shoulder not turning him around.

"It wasn't my fault."

"Yea I know, It's your crappy sale ideas." He tries to get out through the door before he breaks into tears.

"No-!" Dualscar sighs, "He's just smart...that's it."

Cronus shakes his fathers hand off of him. "Yea right," And walks out, tears running down his cheeks. His father stands in the door way watching his eldest son walk away, as he starts to tear up he yells for Eridan.

"Yea dad?" Eridan shouts from the top of the stairs.

"Follow your brother. Make sure he doesn't talk to the Vantas family."
