Is It The End?

'Should I text him now? It's been a day, no. It's Cronus, he always stays fired up for a week or two. But what if this time it's different? No he isn't one to change so quickly.' Kankri fights with himself trying to convince himself that his boyfri- ex-boyfriend might want to speak with him. 'I knew telling him was a bad idea. But what else was I suppose to do? Just leave.' His thoughts were interrupted by knocking on his bed room door. "Y-yes come in." The man of the house walks in.

"Kankri, are you doing alright?"

Kankri sighs, "Yes dad, I'm fine."

"Just making sure. There is food on the table when you are ready to come down."

"Ok." He starts to walk out. "Dad! wait." He turns back around.

"Yes?"

"Have you ever had a pain so sharp in your chest that wasn't actually inflicted by something physical?"

He chuckled, "Of course I have. What's yours from though?"

"It...it's from someone." Kankri hides in his sweater.

"Who might that someone be?" His father's massive hand covered his shoulder.

"It's Cr-" Kankri is cut off by his younger brother yelling from down the hall.

"Hey are you going to come down here and eat or what!?"

"Be down in a second! Would you like to talk about this later?"

"Sure." Kankri comes out of his sweater and walks past his father towards the kitchen. As soon as he is out of sight The Signless picks up his eldest sons phone.

'No password, great' He opens the messages. 'He hasn't messaged him for a few days. Good.' He puts his phone back onto Kankri's bed and joins the rest of his family at the dinner table.

C: Hey

C: I'm sorry for freaking out back there

C: Vwill you answer me please

C: Kan I'm sorry

C: Kankri...

C: Please

Cronus started to tear up "please" he whispered to himself. *DING* He picks up his phone, a new message!

R: Hey man haven't heard from you in a few days wanted to see if you were ok

'Ugh it's just Rufio' He threw his phone to the other side of his bed hiding his face in his hands 'Come on!' He didn't get any texts for the rest of the night. He didn't sleep either, he was waiting, just waiting for Kankri to respond. Wanting to know if this was really the end.

-To the present-

"And now he's gone" Cronus finished recalling his story. "I wish you were still here." He sighed looking down at his feet. 'hat's how that love story ends. No love for me or him ever again.' Knocking broke his train of thought. "Yea?"

"Wwhat are ya doin' in there Cro?" Eridan asked on the other side of his door.

"None f your business." Cronus snapped.

"Wwell I wwas gonna giwe you some good newws but I guess you don't wwant to hear it."

"What is it." Conus relpied not really caring what the answer was.

"Come dowwn stairs."

"Fine." You get out of bed and head downstairs. "What is i-" He stopped dead in his tracks. "Kankri?"

"Hello Cronus." Cronus couldn't contain his excitement he rushed to him and lifted him into a big hug. "Cr-Cronus!"

"I'm sorry I'm sorry." He put him down. "It's just really good to see ya."

"Likewise" Kankri smiled. Cronus smiled back reaching for Kankri's hands. Kankri put his hands in Cronus' "And Cronus"

"Yea?!"

"This time. I'm not leaving" Cronus smiled so widely knowing he got his second chance.

"Can I hug you now!"

"You may." Cronus lifted him up and spun him around. They laughed like they did when they were together. And they were! The couple reunited. And this time they will stay a couple no matter what stays in their way.

Ending notes

Hey Android223 here. I honestly don't wan this story to end but I felt like this was the proper ending and time to end it. BUT!!! I was thinking since I really like this ship and story and you guys do too, I was thinking of keeping it up and if you guys want a scene I'll put it in it's own chapter. So if one of you comments that you want some kind of fluff I will gladly make a chapter of fluff having to do with what you commented. So if you want a scenario written out leave it in the comments.
