The design of this heartless is based on a bat, with large wings, small yellow eyes, a parrot-like head, spiky fur around the neck, twisted antenna, a small round belly, tiny legs, and a crooked tail. The color differs in the games it appears in: It is black with dark magenta in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 and 3, and it is purple in Union X. Before approaching these they are seen hanging upside down in trees or anything they can cling to. When approached, these guys turn right side up and flutter around the player and attack with a spinning charge; jumping over them should lead them to still spin till they turn around on you. They never sit still until you blast them with magic.
