i always sat waiting for you.
waiting for your love.
waiting for your smile.
watching.
watching you slowly fall out of love.
watching the hours id been left on delivered grow, while your texts shortened.
the longer time took for you to answer
gray seemed to appear on my scalp as i picked myself apart wondering what i did to mess up our so called "friendship".
we never had a label, we never referred to another as anything.
but deep down we both new sparks flew when we stared into another's eyes,
my chest filled with butterflies,
all compacted and squeezed in tight.
but the sparks that used to fly faded in your eyes,
they left scares.
in my now broken butterfly wings.
