Willow's POV

I walked around the frozen people as the purple excess of my powers floated about in the air.  I weaved through the crowds of people, moving faster as I got closer to the exit. I could hear Steve's voice in my head as it kept repeating:

'Don't lose control, keep it together, keep time together'

I could keep it in control. I could complete the training exercise, it was just a hologram, the people were just holograms. If I moved fast enough, I could prove just how in control of my powers I am. My eyes begin to light up, a purple energy beginning to form in the pupil of my eye as I tried to quicken my pace through the crowds. As I did this, I didn't realise that the holograms around me would speed up as well, not only that but they doubled my pace. I was shoved and pushed out of the way, I couldn't get through. I was pushed all the way to the back. I let out a cry for help as I was kicked to the ground. I could feel the power rise from within my body as I let out a scream. The waves of people were knocked over by the strike of my purple powers hitting them and blasting them away. My knees on the ground as I was crouched over them with my head resting on the ground with my arms beside my head as I couldn't find the strength to look up at the damage I had caused.

"Ace" I heard as I felt a hand on my back but I nudged it off.

"Get away from me" I said as I brought my hands up to my face to cover the tears that didn't seem to stop falling. "All I do is cause destruction" I cried out.

"You're learning" Steve said as he sat himself down next to my crouched body. "You're bound to make mistakes when you're learning...especially when learning how to control a power as extreme as yours" He told me as I sat myself up a little in order to look up at him.

"But all I do is make mistakes, I just can't seem to get in control of my own powers" I explained as I looked down at my hands that still had purple sparks at the edge of my fingertips. I closed my hands into a fist in an attempt to hide them as Steve continued, "We'll keep working on it, I'm not giving up on you Ace" He smiled as I couldn't help but respond with one. He got himself up from the floor and extended his arm for me to grab, I took it in mine as he pulled me up from the ground I stumbled a bit from how fast he pulled me up, he laughed a little as he smiled, "Sorry....I always forget how strong I actually am"

"It's okay," I said. He put his arm around my back as he led me out of the training centre, "Thanks Cap... for today"

"No problem Ace," He said.

As we made our way back to the main part of the Avengers compound, and made our way over to Natasha who stood talking with Wanda. My heartbeat sped up as soon as I saw her I could feel the words that were going to come out of my mouth were going to be hot garbage.

"Hey Nat" Steve said

"Hey there, Rogers" Natasha smirked slightly as she looked over at Steve and crossed her arms over her chest in a way that portrayed her confidence as she looked between Steve and I. She said, "Wanda and I were just talking about our upcoming mission" Steve nodded along as he looked down at me, then back at both of them, "You're all good with it, Wanda?" He asked as he looked at her, she nodded slightly. I shot her a confused glance as she looked at me with a shrug as if it wasn't her place to tell me, I asked Steve, "What mission?"

"Sam, Wanda, Natasha and I are heading out to track down some guys from HYDRA in a few days" Steve said, hoping it wouldn't ignite any ideas within me, but it did and I wanted to come.

"No" Steve said plainly, knowing the cogs in my brain were already turning as I opened my mouth to speak but he immediately shut me down.

"Oh come on Rogers" Natasha said as she wrapped her arm around my shoulders, "Let the kid have some fun, give her a chance to show off that crazy power you keep talking about" Natasha urged Steve.

"It's too dangerous..." Steve said.

"I'll look after her" I heard as I looked over to Wanda, who smiled gently as she explained, "I'll make sure she doesn't lose control"

Steve started, "Wanda...You're both new and facing difficulties in controlling your powers, you know-"

"We can help each other, just give me a chance....Give us a chance" Wanda pleaded as she cut Steve off, I couldn't help but smile I can't believe she was fighting this hard for me to come with her, I'd never have someone before stick up for me the way Wanda did. Steve looked over at me then back at Wanda.

"Fine...But you guys have to look after each other, I don't want to have to clean up after anyone's mess" Steve said as he gestured with his finger as he pointed between the two of us.

"You guys have to watch each other's six on this mission and no funny business of any sort on Friday" Natasha added as she began to walk away, turning back around she pointed at the two of us, "8am, Friday by the Quinjet...Don't be late!" Natasha explained. The two of us nodded in unison as Steve followed closely behind Natasha as they walked away.

Wanda grabbed my hand in hers, "I've never been on a mission before...Since I've been here anyway" She told me, her hand in mine was more to ease her worries as she grasped mine tighter realising that this was the first time she would be out there fighting for the Avengers.

"We'll do it together? Okay?" I said as she turned to me, a smile making its way onto her face.

"Together" She nodded as we made our way down the hallway together.
