Willow's POV
I groaned as I opened my eyes to see a bright light which made me shut my eyes immediately again. My hands were bound as I sat upon a chair in the middle of a dark room.
"Morning sunshine" I heard.
I was in a daze as I attempted to determine where the voice was coming from. I couldn't find the words to speak as my throat was dry as a desert, it felt like I hadn't drunk a sip of water in days. I croaked in an attempt to speak which in turn prompted a laugh from the person who was barely visible due to the bright light that shined right down on me.
"You've been out for a few hours, but it's okay...we've just got a lot to attend to now" The voice spoke.
"W-what..." I croaked out.
"What do they call you? Willow... or is it Ace, Captain America likes to call you that right?" He asked me. "I'm just going to call you Ace...Ace, your power exceeds any power I've ever seen or heard of, it just seems as if you don't take advantage of it's full potential....Anyway, what I'm asking is If you'd be interested...in joining me" He said. I still had no idea who this person was and I couldn't concentrate properly given my throat was dry and my head made me feel as if none of what was happening was real.
"W-Water..." I said after a while. The figure nodded along as he fetched a water bottle and brought it to my mouth. I drank a few sips as I let out a breath of relief from the satisfaction of having water for the first time in a long time, "Who are you?" I asked after a while.
"I'm Brock Runlow...But you can call me Crossbones" He said, as he stepped out from the shadows showing his fully deformed face. "So is that a yes?" He asked.
"To what?" I enquired.
"To joining me" He said,
"Why should I join you?" I exclaimed. "What are you going to teach me that the Avengers can't?"
"Because I can help you...The Avengers aren't at all what they seem, I can teach you the truth" He explained, he waited for an answer as he tried to decipher the expression which fell upon my face as he asked, "So what's your answer?"

Wanda's POV
"Runlow?" Steve questioned as Brock Runlow let out a laugh from across the room and began to walk a bit closer towards the group.
"That's right, it's me" He said, as he pulled out a tranquiliser gun and aimed right at Willow, suddenly purple powers shot out of Willow's hand as she aimed for the bullet which slowed down almost instantly as her powers collided with the bullet. "Nice one" He complimented in a sarcastic manner. "But can you control it?" He smiled, he fired multiple tranquillisers as Willow struggled to maintain her strength against the hands of times.
"You...You have to get out," Willow struggled. "I'm not in control of what I can do if I lose control of this" She gestured to her powers keeping the bullets from getting to her. I shook her head, I wasn't leaving without a fight. I wasn't giving up on her. "I'm not letting you do this alone, we're in this together, remember?" I told her as I turned my attention to Brock and I raised my right hand and struck him with my telekinetic powers, he fell to the ground. I turned to see Willow who smiled in my direction. I turned to Natasha and Steve, "Find a way out, now!" I exclaimed as I raised my hands to come together to build up my powers in order to blast Brock if he had the strength to get up again. Steve and Natasha attempted to find a way out from the direction in which Brock came from. But as they ran towards that direction, a door opened and brought more henchmen.
"This is not how I thought my Friday was going to go" Natasha commented as she looked around at the dozens of henchmen that seemed to crowd around all of us.
"At least it's not going to be boring," Steve said.
"Wait!" Willow shouted as she raised her left arm to stop the movements of the henchmen as they attempted to run at us.
"Willow, what are you do-"
"I'm saving us" She said cutting me off from finishing, she held off the henchmen. Brock was now frozen in time as he slowly got up from the floor.
"But...you can't" I said as a lump began to form in my throat, I couldn't leave her here. "I'm not leaving you here...we can take these guys on together" I told her.
"I need you to leave before..." She trailed off, it looked as if the illusion was coming apart as the bright purple faded to darker shade as things around us sped up for just a second before time slowed back down again. The bullets closer and Brock was now up from the ground. "Leave! Please, you need to go Wanda" She exclaimed as her hazel eyes locked with mine, the glint of purple which surrounded her pupil was more apparent the longer I looked at her.
"No...Never, I'm staying" I said as she went over to grab her hand in mine, I wasn't going to let her stay here for us. I wasn't losing her.
She started, "What are you-"
"I'm staying with you," I told her firmly. It was final. It was as if I couldn't rip my eyes away from hers and I didn't even get the chance to look around at what was happening. My red powers began to weave into Willow's as the illusion became stronger than ever and the people around us began to move in a reverse motion.
"Steve, Natasha, go!" I said to them as the pair made their way to the exit. The two of us stayed, hand in hand as the illusion continued to move in reverse. As we pushed the bullets aside from us, we looked around at the bodies of the henchmen and Brock that were all laid out on the ground. Willow's hand rose to touch my cheek, wiping away a tear I didn't even know had fallen.
"What just happened?" I asked her, as my eyes darted down to my hands as if to check what had just happened had come out of my body. I looked over at her face, which held no expression of confusion or desperation for answers of what we just did. "What?" I couldn't read her. It was as if it was a look of relief but also a seemed to be an expression of something else.
"I just can't believe you stayed" She said, her hand still resting upon my cheek.
"I didn't want you to be alone," I told her. "We're in this together, you're stuck with me"
"I'm stuck with you?" Willow asked as she laughed as her hand was now brought to her side, but the warmth that she left still remained on my cheek.
"Is that a bad thing?" I questioned.
"No, being with you could never be a bad thing" Willow corrected.
It was as if all I wanted was for her hand to be pressed up against my cheek again and her eyes always to be staring into mine. I always wanted her to be close to me.
I didn't even realise when Brock got up from the ground and grab his gun as he spoke out, "Alright, that's enough"
I couldn't act quick enough as a tranquilliser was shot right at Willow which struck her in the chest and she crumpled onto the floor.
"No!" I screamed out as I bent down to her body as I wrapped my arms around her back in an attempt to lift her up. I wiped the blonde strands away from her forehead as I wanted her so desperately to wake up.
"Time to give it up, Miss Maximoff" Brock said as he pointed the gun at my head. My eyes glowed red as I struck him which prompted him to fly backwards.
"I've just had about enough of you" I snarled as I forged a red bubble of power in my left hand beginning to walk towards him, Brock attempted to move backwards as I got closer towards him as his back hit the wall. But suddenly, I felt an electrical sensation run up and down my body as a henchman who laid on the floor struck me with a taser and the world around me went black.
