[Bonus] Teaming Up

Coiny took initiative to explain the game's purpose to the guys that just came from the LOL, letting them know that this was temporary and the contest would be starting again after this game was over.

"But, how long is this game going to be?" Snowball asked. "And why do I have to take part in it? It sounds stupid."

"Would you rather be in the Locker of Losers?" Coiny said back. Snowball rolled his eyes.

Pen spoke up. "You guys have teams, right? What are we? Our own team?"

"No, you have to join one of ours, that's what Rull said right before they — summoned you all?"

"Well I know we're joining your team, right Coiny?" Pen said, grabbing Blocky and Eraser and grinning.

Coiny shrugged with a smile. "Sure, why not?" He turned to the rest of them. "You guys figure yourselves out. I'm gonna get back with the Bunch."

The four boys walked away, and David skittered after them without saying anything.

Leafy and Woody were already gone.

Snowball began to step away to follow Coiny and them as well, but then Flower grabbed his arm. "Snowball! You have to stay with me!"

"Why??" He grunted, yanking his arm out of her grip. She put her hands on her hips and frowned.

"I need a bodyguard." She said pretentiously. "What if someone gets a dare to beat me up? You can kick their ass before they get to me. Nobody will ever try again."

Snowball glared at her. "What about that time you knocked everyone off the beam on episode one? Or the time you pushed past everyone in the volcano to get in the front? Or all the other contestants you've killed without hesitation?"

"W- Well that was before!" She argued. "I want people to like me, so I'm not gonna fight anymore and you can beat people up for me! Plus, I can't ruin my beautiful petals..." She fluffed them up and posed.

Snowball scoffed. "What's in it for me?"

"You get to stand near the most beautiful girl in the world all the time." She smiled very widely. "Isn't that just the dream?"

"No, it isn't." Snowball replied shortly, then thought. "Are you going to leave me alone if I tell you no?"

Flower narrowed her eyes at the word 'no'. She crossed her arms and put her chin up.  "I'll never shut up about it."

Snowball sighed heavily. "Fine. But we're joining Coiny's team."

"No, we're joining Ruby's team! She looks sparkly!" Flower was already beaming and jogging over to Freesmart. Snowball groaned and walked after her.

After Leafy finally got Woody to calm down from the scare of teleportation, she held his hand and led him over to where she saw Firey and his team. They were all socializing with each other, and all looked mildly miffed at Puffball.

As she got closer, Leafy could tell that the moment Firey saw her, his entire stature turned neutral. She slightly frowned.

Suddenly, Golf Ball shoved herself in front of Leafy, slightly blocking her view.

"Leafy! What are you doing here??"

The reason she was here was she wanted to confront Firey, but she couldn't just say that. "I, uhh..." She stuttered. "D... do you have room for Woody and I?"

"Why would we want you?" Golf Ball retorted, holding her ground. "You stole dream island!"

"That was a year ago," Leafy tried to reason. "I just want to make things right now, that's all."

"Far too late for that," Golf Ball snapped. "Nobody wants you on their team. Especially mine." then she turned to Woody. "You. You can come on in, I guess."

Woody, not letting go of Leafy's hand, hesitated but walked slowly towards the team while they all went back to talking amongst themselves. He sat down next to Rocky, the only one not talking. Leafy sat down with him. He wouldn't loosen his grip on her.

After a moment, GB looked at Leafy again.  "why are you still here?" she demanded. "Get away from us!"

Woody looked at GB and hugged Leafy's entire arm. He mumbled small sounds and refused to let go. GB looked disgruntled.

"Woody, we don't like her. She can't stay."

"Well I mean..." TB started to say.

"What? You mean what?"

"I mean, Leafy said she wanted to make things better..."

"What reason do we have to trust her??"

Leafy cut in. "You don't have to trust me, but... can I try?"

TB looked at GB expectantly.

She sighed dramatically. "Fine. Fine, okay. You can stay. But don't expect any of us to warm up to you."

Woody loosened his grip on Leafy's arm and just held her hand again, and she could tell he was relieved she would stay. She was too.

While she could, with this strange, out of nowhere game that allowed her to return to the show with no questions asked, she would try to fix everything.

She hoped it would be worthwhile.
