500 years ago: Some where in Khaenriah.

"What do you mean I HAVE TO GO PICK UP 1000 FLOWERS?" I asked.

"Well it might sound boring, but yep that's what we are tasked with." a young guard said who walked beside me.

"Enjou are you sure that I am assigned with this task?" I asked him

"Yes you are. Captain Dain assigned these....To be honest they all are boring."

"What on earth do they need these much for?"

"Some stupid ritual for the Royal family of- Oh." He suddenly stopped speaking and stood still looking at the same direction.

"Huh? what happened go on speak." I told him

"Y/n...*points finger* Captain..." He mumbled. I turned my gaze around to be met with Captain Dain.

"Ahem, so I thought you both were out on your duties." Dain asked as he gave me and Enjou stares.

"O-Oh Captain Dain....We..I mean I was about to set off to get thousands of Inteyvats.." I lied.

"Oh? You were? I see two lovebirds walking around the city for about an hour now." He smirked.

"Captain Dain....could you tone the teasing down a bit." Enjou begged.

"What? Wasn't I telling simply nothing but the truth?" Dain asked

"Well captain Dain, we'll be off then.." I said.

"By the way, make it quick this needs to be done soon." Dain said as walked away from me and Enjou.

Enjou sighed and said;

"I think you should get going Y/n..."

"What about you then?"

"I am placed for some security around the palace....guess I'll pass out there then head off to the library and begin reading something."

"Hey...what if we went on a date today?" I suddenly asked.

Enjou completely blushed up.

"A-a date?!"

"Yes a date."

"H-Hm...I.."

"It's a deal!" I waved and bid him a goodbye.

"H-HEY WAIT!" Enjou shouted from the back but I ran away pretending I did not hear him.

Hours passed and the sun shone brightly as I was picking out inteyvats one by one. I had to be specially careful about to it.

Suddenly, the sky turned orange and I saw hues of black, grey and yellow all over the city. I suddenly gasped and began running towards it.

By the time I reached, everything was gone. Houses were all on fire. Men, Women and even small children were having some sort of black aura around them. They were all going insane.

Thinking about what could've happened to Enjou or captain Dain, I quickly ran towards where they were.

Some black knights who were still in control of their self told that Captain Dain has went missing.

My heart broke upon seeing the destruction Khaenriah underwent. Running through the halls, I kept screaming for Enjou.

I saw his shadow.

"Enjou! There you are! Let's -" I said.

He suddenly turned around and his eyes were red in color. The black miasma curse was around him too.

I took a step back looking at him.

"Y/N!" a voice screamed. That was when I completely got knocked out.

I woke up in a completely dark place today known as the depth of the Abyss. Soon I found out that I was cursed as well. Yet I did not turn into a monster like the people of Khaenriah did.

I could've only grieved at what happened.
