"I never thought I would have to dress in clothes like this ever again." I said with a sigh. Jeremy simply chuckled at my response and said "well suck it up for a night princess because we're already at the dance." Getting out of the car I stop the young Gilbert in his tracks and say, "okay cut the crap. I know you know about what happened at the Salvatore's house so don't play it off that you're just so glad going to this dance with me. Now I know it wasn't your older sister that made you do this and Stefan does whatever little Elena wants so it was obviously Damon who put you up to this." After hearing Jer sigh I knew was true. Right when I started to think I could have a friend. I walk away saying nothing after the conversation walking in to only meet blazing blue eyes. I groan and say "What do you want Damon? Oh and next time don't send the young Gilbert to do your dirty work, it's not flattering." After my sentence he rolled his eyes and said "I was wondering if you would help to protect Elena tonight?" I smirked and said "what's in it for me?" He sighed and said "New friends that will stick by your side through everything." rolling my eyes I said "I highly doubt that but I guess for one night I can help little miss Elena."
Walking into the gym I walk over to the punch bowl. As I was drinking my punch I felt a presents by me. I smirk and said "Alaric I don't need a babysitter. I said I'll protect little miss Elena now leave me alone." He turned to me and said "I can't just come and stand by you? Maybe have a little bit of a chit chat?" "Alaric we both know that you and the rest only talk to me to either get me to do something for you or to try and find my weakness. Which by the way is nonexistent." Alaric was about to respond when Damon and the rest came up to us.
Putting on a fake smile I listen to the groups conversation but since the group is so boring and only like to talk about things like where is he? What does he look like? Elena you need to be by us at all times. my attention came to when a girl walk on stage. Looking at the girl I could tell that she was being compelled by how how she walked. Listening in she said through the mic "Sorry to disturb you all but I have a request from Klaus to Elena. Klaus said to save him a dance. Okay carry on." while the group freaked out I groaned. Damon turned to me and said "Why are you groaning?" Rolling my eyes I said "just being around people who are stupid enough to get scared by Klaus's play toy simply stating a threat that was put in a horrid showcase."
After the group left to go somewhere. I don't really know because I wasn't paying attention. I was zoning out until I felt a breath on my ear. "Well love I have to go but I'll see you again." Turning to the person I see Alaric walking away. Deciding to follow him I look to see if anyone is following and then took off in his direction. Running through the hallways I turn a corner to see Alaric and....
