Here we go :)The day dawned crisp and clear as the first rays of sunlight lit up the room and the chorus of melodic birdsong drifted in.
Jihye slightly opened her eyes but quickly shut them due to the blinding light. She was on the brink of falling back asleep, wanting nothing more than to stay under the warm comfy blankets..until reality hit her.
Thoughts of her current situation clouded her mind thus waking her up. She was dreading having to do this.
Still half asleep, she groaned, reopening her eyes as they ajusted to the bright light of the sun rays before dragging herself out of bed.
She lazily headed to her ensuite to freshen up and then exited the room, going down to have breakfast.
Silence. Was the only thing lingering in the air as she walked through the long halls of the mansion. But of course, Jihye was far from surprised as this was typical day here.
As she finally made it to the dining room, almost getting lost in the process, she was greeted by a large fancy-looking, wooden dining table, loaded with all kinds of foods.
There were stacks of fresh pancakes and french toast, various freshly baked pastries that made the room smell like a bakery from a mile away, and plates of eggs and bacon piled up. Additionally, there were various beverages such as, orange juice, apple juice, coffee and other drinks. There was basically any breakfast food you could think of.
Jihye stood there, her mouth watering while gawking at the food in front of her and she didn't waste a single second before taking a seat and digging in.
While she was busy piling food onto her plate, she suddenly heard a voice speak.
"Good morning, Miss Lee." She was a little startled at first but nonetheless, turned her head towards the owner of the voice.
"Good morning, Dohyun." She said with a mouth full of food.
She quickly covered her mouth with her hand and swallowed her food, feeling embarrased and cursing at herself for her lack of manners.
Dohyun slightly chuckled.
"And how was your first night at the mansion?""It was great." She said in a fairly indistinct tone. She wasn't lying but she wasn't exactly telling the truth either.
Truthfully, she slept like a baby but she was uneasy as the thoughts of her mission were troubling her.
Then something hit her.
"Where are the others?" She asked rather curious about their absence."They don't eat here"
"Where do they eat then?"
"They stop by convenience stores while passing by." he explained.
She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
"Why would they do that when there's all this food here?""They refuse to eat with each other since.. Well, you know why" he sighed in dissapointment.
"But can't they eat separately? It's not like they have to eat together."
"They still refuse as they don't want to risk accidentally bumping into one another " She stayed silent.
"They do however, occasionally stop and grab something to eat on the go as they're passing by." He added.
Jihye was a little shocked. Needless to say, she knew that they hated each other but she didn't think it was to this extent.
So she simply nodded in understanding. She turned back to her plate and continued eating until she noticed yet another figure enter the room.
"What are 'you' still doing here?"
I'm trying to remember my initial ideas.
