Hey guys, here I am yet again with a chapter after disappearing once again oops-
No but fr I don't post as regularly as I intend to but I will keep this going and I'll finish it so just bear with me 🙂It was a quiet night when the lonely boy found himself sitting in his room, staring blankly at the wall.
Donghyuck wasn't usually bored, he always had something to do whether it be singing, playing video games or sleeping.
The clock finally struck midnight but the boy was still wide awake. He couldn't sleep, though he didn't exactly know why.
He suddenly had the urge to rummage through his old drawers for no particular reason, except the fact that he was incredibly bored.
Although, he immediately regretted this when something caught his eye- a photo of something which unlocked a memory that he dreaded to recall.
He debated whether or not to pick it up, but it was as if his hands robotically moved out of his control and before he knew it, the photo was within his grasp.
The boy stared at the younger version of himself who was standing next to his beloved mother, whom he missed dearly. She had passed away when he was 17.
He still remembers it all so clearly on the day that everything changed. It was the day he lost his mother and his happiness.
It was the day his whole life changed and the worst, most traumatic one of it.
He was too distracted by thinking about the unlocked memory to notice the tears that were streaming down his face as his eyes were glued to the picture.
Not being able to handle the pain anymore, he tossed the photo aside before leaving what felt like a suffocating room.
He felt suffocated and desperately needed to breathe, so he supposed that the gardens would be a good place to empty his mind.
It was peaceful, the only noise being the splashing, crystal clear water of the fountain.
He took a deep breath, trying to clear his mind of all the negative memories that haunted him.
All of a sudden, he heard slight shuffling behind him but shrugged it off, not caring enough to see what it was.
"Donghyuck? A voice softly spoke.
He knew who it was, but he still ignored her, not even bothering to acknowledge her presence until she appeared beside him.
"What are you doing out here? It's past midnight." He ignored her once again.
"Helloo, Donghyuck? The waving of her hand in front of him finally caught his attention.
"What?" He said a little harsher than he intended.
"I said what are you doing out here, it's dark,"
"Yeah no shit" He rolled his eyes but that didn't stop the girl from questioning even further.
"You look troubled"
"What makes you say that?" he retorted sarcastically, making Jihye frown.
"Why do you hate me so much?"
"Because you're annoying"
"So you find everyone annoying then I see? Since you hate everyone"
"Yes actually,"
"I know it's deeper than that"
"Why are you still talking?"
"I'm just curious, you don't talk to anyone yet you find them annoying? Makes total sense," she retorted sarcastically.
"I don't like people, okay? All they do is leave anyw-" he stopped mid-sentence, realising he had said too much.
"Donghyuck, what happened?"
"Nothing, just go to bed Luna." he sighed calmly before turning to leave.
"Wait!" She tried calling him to stay but alas, he had already disappeared.
She decided against going after him so she merely sighed, turning to face the fountain and wondering what had happened to make Donghyuck the way he was.
Poor Hyuck 😭
