Aurelia Romaro was born to be perfect.
It was how she was raised. Everything about her needed to be flawless, there was no room for slip up. But Aurelia wasn't perfect, she was a flawed woman who put up a façade her whole life.
Growing up, Aurelia was put in whatever sport her mom thought would be good for her. Ballet, soccer, volleyball, tennis, and figure skating. All five of those sports stuck with the girl but she always loved tennis more than the others. Which is why she decided to focus on it more and go pro in it.
Well, at least, after she graduated college.
Aurelia was faultless at everything she did that journalist had created a name for her. "Black Widow," is what they called her, and even though she thought it was a weird name for tennis, she still held the title with pride.
One day, Aurelia was competing in a tennis match with Tashi Duncan. Of course, Aurelia had ended up beating her, but instead of being mad, Tashi went up to her and shook her head and smiled. Aurelia, deciding to be bold, brought her into a hug which she accepted.
And that was the beginning of a friendship and sometimes partnership.
The two had tear their way through everyone they competed against. Since the two were so great, people had ended up giving them a nickname.
The Maneaters.
That's the name people had granted them with and they took it with honor, making it their team name. The two girls were so immersed with tennis that they had no time for relationships. The two had always said that tennis was the only serious relationship they would ever be in.
Until one day, when Aurelia and Tashi meet two boys and the four all have complications.
But it's like the people said, the girls were maneaters.
