For the past three years, today has been the day that I've been waiting for for so long. The day I finally build up my courage to confess my feelings and love for Lee Sungyeol, the boy that captured my heart, and also the boy who is currently dating my cousin, Sungjong. And all I could ever do was look upon them from far away and fake smiles even though inside I'm breaking.
Sungjong always gets the attention from my family, schoolmates and even teachers. Pampered with gifts, love and attention.
Attention, the thing I've been craving from Sungyeol. I don't even care if no one else gives me attention, I just want Sungyeol's attention.
The ball rang, signifying that school has ended. Good, now it's time to confess.
I saw Sungyeol packing up his things hastily. I wondered why. As the other kids in class were already gone, I took in a deep breath, summoning all the bravery I had, and grabbed his shoulder, just before he went out of the door.
"Ah, Myungsoo? What do you want?" Sungyeol asked as he turned around to face me. I felt my heart flutter when he said my name.
"I-I...rea-reall-rea-" The words just wouldn't come out of my mouth. It was like my tongue was tied by Sungyeol's heavenly voice.
"You what? Uhmm, sorry Myungsoo. I've got a date right now. We'll talk later, okay?" Oh, right. Sungjong. I totally forgot about that prat. Just as Sungyeol turned his sexy-fucking heels towards the door,
"Wait," I said and he turned around again, an annoyed look on his face. "Uh, nevermind, see ya tomorrow." Stupid mouth and tongue. FML right now.
"Okayyyyy." Sungyeol said dragging the "ay" while giving me weird looks. I mean, who wouldn't when a loner in class started talking to you? Maybe I should just confess tomorrow.
I silently walked behind Sungyeol who kept checking his watch every second. How I wished that I was his date. Even if it was just for one day.

I stopped behind the zebra crossing with my head hanging low, dissapppointed and feeling idiotic. I realized someone still walked hastily on the zebra crossing, even though it was still green on the traffic light, indicating cars are passing.
I took a long look at the person.
It can't be. It musn't be. It's Lee Sungyeol.
Then a truck came up from the right side of him, sending his body flying and it dropped violently on the hard road.
I stood there, mortified. My mind was trying to register what had happened to my crush. No. Why didn't I confess everything earlier? He wouldn't be here if I hadn't confessed.
It's all my fault.
People began crowding the body of Sungyeol, his legs were bent, but his flawless face still remained unharmed.
And all I could do was look from afar, just what I've been doing from the very beginning.
