Enid's pov-
It was just a normal day at Alexandria, and I was sitting on the bed, just reading my comic books. I hear footsteps coming up the stairs, and assume it's just Henry. It is, but not just him, a new guy.
Henry introduces Milton, and then me, I just continue to read.
"Guys this is Carl." Henry says. I take a glance at this guy, Carl. He seems cool.
"Hey." He says. And as any other time, I continue to read. I don't talk that much, since my parents died. Also, I don't like talking to new people, I don't like to get close.
Henry goes to show Carl to his room. Now, this is my time to sneak out for a while. I sit my comic cook down.
"Hey Milton, I will be back later."
"Okay." He says not even turning towards me. I sneak out the door, and I quietly go past Henry's room, he tries to act like he's in charge of me. He's not. I finally make it out of the house without being notice.
I sneak around the back of the house. And climb over the fence, and I suspect no one can see me. I throw my bag over, then jump down. I grab my bad, then run threw the woods. I think Alexandria is weak, and I don't wanna be like them.
I want to be strong, that's why I come out here, to make sure that I don't become weak, like them. After a couple of minuets, I hear leaves crunching behind me. I slightly turn pretending as if I hear something. I see out of the corner of my eye, Carl.
He's trying to be unseen, and I act as if I don't know. I continue to walk, and I sit on the log, as I always do. I always carve random things into with my knife. Well, my Mom's knife. I miss her, and my dad. After about 5 minuets, I decide to go back.
I see me pass by Carl out of the corner of my eye. Somehow he arrived before me back, but when we got back I saw Aiden, and one of the other new people arguing. Aiden throws a punch, but the man blocks it and punches him.
Diana comes out and tries to stop it, but they don't listen. Aiden tries complaining. I rolled my eyes and walked back to the house I stay in with the other teenagers, I was going to go to my room, until I was stopped by Carl.
He just stares at me for a second, as soon as I am about to say something to him for staring at me, he decides to talk.
"You don't like me do you?" He says.
I look for a second, then roll my eyes, and walk around him. I quickly open the door to the house, and enter my room.
Carls pov-
"You don't like me do you?" I say hoping she would say, I do like you, but no. She just stares, then walks around me, and into the house she stays at. I sighed, then walked away.
Why doesn't she like me? I mean do I like her? I think I do. More than a friend? No! No Carl! You just met her. I don't know. She's really beautiful, and an interesting girl, but I just met her. I don't know, I don't think she likes me.
We will see.
Enid's pov-
I have gone out to the woods, every other day now. Carl, has followed me everyday. What's his deal? Today I am going back out, and I am gonna talk to him. I made sure he was in his room, then I left.
After about a mile into the woods, I hid behind a tree.
"Carl. I see you." I said loudly, it echoed throughout the forest. He quickly turned, confused.
"And, you're going the wrong way." He turned again, then I popped out from behind the tree. I gave him a fake smile.
"What do you do out here anyways?" He asked.
"Same as you." I quickly said, then ran off laughing. He followed after me. We finally came to a halt, after our fun time. A walkers was around the corner, and we could see him through the trees.
I grabbed my timer, and set it for 10 seconds. I quickly threw it by the walker, it began to ding, and the walker walked towards it. Carl and I hid behind a tree. Then, many walkers started appearing out of nowhere.
Carl pushed me in front of him, and we began to run. There was a tree, perfect spot. We could both fit inside of it. We were so close, the walkers passed by. Then, I looked at him, and he looked over at me.
We almost kissed, until Carl stopped, and we didn't kiss. Damn it. Wait, what? Do I like Carl? No. I can't. But I do. Do I? Yes. No, Enid! Stop it.
We finally escaped from the tree. We headed back to Alexandria. I wasn't talking, anymore, or even looking at him. We finally go back, and walked into the gates. Only here we see Rick, he's beating up Pete.
Carl runs up, and tries to stop it, but Rick pushed him back. Diana was yelling at him, trying to get him to stop, but he continued to harm him. I quickly ran over to Carl, and helped him up.
"You okay?"
"Yea, thanks."
Diana finally got him to stop, and rick began to ramble on about how, we aren't safe, and we are weak, and things like this are going to tear this community apart. I see Jesse crying, Sam holding onto Carols leg, as I am holding my arms around Carl.
I took Carl inside, and sat him down on the bed.
"You sure you're okay?"
"Yea I am fine. Can I just say something."
"Yea what is it?"
"I like you Enid. Like, I really like you." My cheeks burned flaming red, and I smiled as he smiled back at me. He got up off the bed, and he kissed me.
HE KISSED ME! WHAT?! CARL GRIMES KISSED ME?
I kissed Carl back, and then when it broke, I was now definitely flushed red, and smiling bigger then ever.
"I will see you later Grimes."
I walked out, with the biggest smile, and I saw one of the new girls. Maggie, I think. She watched me walk out if Carls.
"What are you so smiley about? Enid right?"
"Oh, nothing. And I am Enid. Are you Maggie?"
"Yea that's me. And seriously, I saw you come out of Carl and Ricks house. What happened?"
"Well, Carl may've kissed me." I giggled, and she smiled. She patted me in the back.
"He's good. Keep him." I smiled, then walked back to my house that I share with the boys. I ran in so happy and into where the boys where. I was smiling.
"What are you so happy about?"
"Nothing." I said and then began to hum.
"Seriously." Henry said.
"Well, you know that knew guy, Carl. We kissed, and I really like him. Please don't ruin it for me guys."
The both gasped.
"Enid got kissed? By a boy? Are you joking?" Milton said, as him and Henry laughed.
"Oh shut up, not like you two are gonna get any girls here." I laughed, and hit them in the arms. They smiled at me. I went into my room, and laid down. I fell asleep after my amazing and adventurous day, with Carl.
