(King Alexander's POV)

"Ahh, King Alexander of the Angelic Kingdom, how may I help you?" the man on the other line said in an amused tone.

I let out a sigh and said, "I want to talk, King Geliah of the Vampire Kingdom."

"Talk about what exactly? A peace negotiation? Would your kingdom want an honorable display of power? Humor me, Alexander," he spat disgustingly at the other line.

I kept quiet for a while before responding, "I want an agreement, Geliah. Please, for the sake of my people."

The line kept quiet for a whole lot longer before I heard a laugh. "An agreement for the sake of 'your' people? How about mine! My whole kingdom is at a loss because of your freakin' princess!"

"She's not just our princess! She's also your mate!" I screamed at the phone. I know that I'm the one who is begging for forgiveness but he just can't insult my aunt.

"Mate?" he spat angrily. "I would never have a mate like her. She's just another pathetic creature that your so called 'God' never wanted. It's good that I killed her immediately."

"You little brat! I know that you are older than the oldest tree here on earth but there is no way that I will allow you to desecrate the name of God right in front of me!" I shouted at him. I swear you would be able to hear the anger in my voice for a mile away.

"I'm not like your worthless angels. Your daughter is going to fall in my hands anytime soon, dear Alexander. Better not make me go there myself." He said that before he hung up.

My blood ran cold when I realized what he just said. Did he just threaten my daughter? Screw him!

I sat down for a few minutes trying to calm myself down. After that, I stood up and went to the door, "Tell Gale to come here as soon as possible," I said to one of the guards posted by my office. One of the nodded and scurried away. They knew to not mess with me when I have on my serious, don't try to joke to me face.

I returned to my table and reached for the secret compartment at the bottom of it. I took a box that I kept secretly hidden for my daughter's future. I think now is the right time to let her have this.

I heard a knock on the door. Instead of doing what I always do, which is to call out, I stood up and opened the door for him.

Gale looked at me in shock, so did the guards. "Come in, Gale. I have to tell you something important."

When he overcame his shock, he nodded at me before coming in. I locked the door behind us and pressed a button by the door to keep the room soundproof. I don't want any vampire to listen in on our conversation.

"Take a seat," I told him. He nodded his head again before taking a seat.

"Is there a problem, your highness? Did your negotiation with the Vampire King any good?" he asked looking at me with hope shining on his eyes.
