"Here's your chance Kathy"
"And I will take it, sir"
I said confidently with my hands behind my back and a charming smile glistening on my angel like face, which could fool anyone .
In front of me stood the man who raised me, the leader of my clan, the rogues. He nodded towards the door, and I bowed and made my way out of the room.At closing the door I breathed a sigh of relief, letting my guard down for a second before taking my tense, warrior like posture again.
This was an amazing chance for me to prove myself and shut down the mouths of all those people who ever doubted me. This was the chance for me to finally have my much awaited revenge at last and I knew, I was ready for it.
Ready for what you might ask? Well ready for the assignment Sir Aiden gave me, the assignment to kill Alpha Ryder's only daughter, Chole. Alpha Ryder, the man who killed my mother, the man who was going to go throw the same pain I did. Though the only problem would be his son, Collin, the Alpha-to-be of the Blood moon pack, one of the biggest packs in the world. Once I get through him, every thing else will be a piece of cake for me, after all I have been trained for things like this my entire life.
With all that in mind I entered the room I shared with Rosie, my best friend. What? Can't an assassin have a best friend?
Rosie and I have trained together our entire lives, she was the daughter of the second in command of the rogues, William. Having been together since childhood we decided to share the same room when we were told to shift.
Well I'll tell you a bit about the life of us rogue. Those of us who arrive here at a young age or are the children of other rogues, train together. We are tought how to survive, how to act and the basics of fighting, when we are prepared, we have to give a sort of examination to prove that we are capable of handling assignments. If we pass we can move out of our previous houses and move into the main building, where we are provided with daily food, shelter and some pocket money, depending on our assignments, tougher the assignment, more is the money.
Rosie and I passed our examinations with graceful marks, mine being the highest in our year, having been raised by the leader of the rogues, Aiden himself. He had always been like a father to me, when my own was never there.
I never knew much about my past, but Aiden told me about the day he found me, in my wolf form at the mere age of 6, curled around my mother's dead body. He told me how he saw the powerful Alpha of the Blood Moon pack kill my mother heartlessly after he had shoved me aside. Aiden told me how I had transformed to my wolf form at just 6, to protect my mother, when an average wolf transformed at the age of 8. He said he saw the potential in me, the potential to be his daughter, to be a rogue, a killer that day and brought me home after the Alpha had left. Ever since then he brought me up as his own daughter, made me go through the most difficult circumstances which only made me more powerful and difficult to beat. I grew up with the need of revenge on the Alpha, with the anger, with the hunger for him to go through what I did.
And it made me who I am, powerful, heartless, a murderer, a loveless werewolf. Who am I? I am Katherine, the heir of the rogues and the killer of many.
