Hey, y'all!
I see you guys came back for more. Well, this is a happy one-shot. And mind you, this is in Casey's point of view.
I don't own TMNT, enjoy! :)

I woke with a start.
It... It was a dream?
But, it seemed so real. At first we were all happy and celebrating Onx's birth, and then I proposed, and then we were planning the wedding, and then... and then...
"Casey?" My head snapped to the voice.
It was Danni. She was alive, and lying down beside me. Awake and alive and-and breathing.
"Casey, are you alright? Your crying." She looked at me worriedly. "Did you have a nightmare?"
I blink, sort of surprised with her accuracy. "U-uh, yeah. Yeah, actually."
She shifted her body until she was sitting cross-legged in front of me. "Do you wanna talk about it?"
"Y-yeah, I need to get it off my chest."
I began talking, making sure to mention every detail, and every now and then, Danni's face changes expression.
When I announced that we had sex and she got pregnant, her face turned to the color of a cherry and she hit my arm. When I mentioned the name of the baby, she gasped and 'awww'ed. Seriously, even after dating her for two months, I still can't understand girls. When I said that I proposed four years later, her eyes widened and she smiled dreamily.
I chuckled. My girlfriend looked absolutely adorable.
But... when I broke the news to she that she died in my dream, she wasted no time in wrapping her arms around my chest. And I wasted no time in sobbing my eyes out.
It turns out that Danni is a really good comforter, and she rubbed my back, whispering soothing words in my ear, like 'I'm right here' and 'I love you'.
She pulled away from the hug, showing me the largest smile she's ever given me. I gave her a small one, and her smile turned into a frown.
"C'mon, Casey, I know you can do better than that."
I tried again, but the weight of my fear of losing her was weighing me down. The smile I tried to make looked more of a grimace.
Danni sighed. She raised her right hand and caressed my cheek. My head automatically nuzzled against her hand.
"Do you feel guilty?"
The question caught me off guard. "What?"
"Do you feel guilty that you lost me? In the dream." She added quickly, seeing my pained expression.
"... Yes."
"Then don't." I admit, I was pretty surprised with the commanding tone in her voice. "It wasn't your fault. Tell me, did you want me dead?"
What kind of question was that? Of course I didn't want her dead. "No!"
"Do you try to protect me everyday?"
"Yes."
She smiled softly, "Then how is it your fault?"
I paused. She's got a point.
Danni hugged me. "See? Not your fault."
I buried my head deep into her shoulders. I gripped her tightly, not wanting to let her go. Never wanting to let her go.
"Casey," she was whispering. "Look at me."
I obeyed.
Danni was looking for something, something in my eyes. I didn't know what it was, but she sighed.
"What're you looking for?"
"You,"
"Huh?" I raised an eyebrow.
"You." She said desperately. "I'm looking for the real Casey Jones. The one who would jump at any chance for a fight. The one who would never back down from one either. I'm looking for the Casey Jones. My Casey Jones."
I opened my mouth to talk, but she cut me off. "No, I don't want to hear your complaints, telling me that you're fine, because you are definitely not fine. I want to see my Casey that would smile at me every time he saw my face."
"I wanna see you smile," she begged me.
Danni wanted to see me smile.
And so I did.
