Months have passed by. Eventually years.
The murders of the Salisburys have broken out and become popularized at the campsite. Many people, especially the eccentric, have even visited the forest to try to come across the disfigured woman.
Most of them have been 'unsuccessful', if you can consider being alive unsuccessful. She seemed to have just targeted the naive people, who are looking just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Only a small handful of people, maybe like 5-6 groups, have actually been 'successful' in coming across her path. Although, all that's left of them is their abandoned, trashed campsite and a couple of blood splatters.
Most weren't even lucky enough to have their body found.
It's nothing compared to the Salisbury murders, however. The woman had pretty much given up the act of playing attention games, and just decided to kill and steal.
Miles Salisbury, who is now known as Miles Kingly after finally adopted, has been bothered by it since. Not only did the trauma of the situation haunt him and cause him to have a nervous stutter, but it didn't help that the insensitive wanna-be investigators and reporters wouldn't stop knocking on his door.
Thankfully, as the time went on, it died out. But, it still doesn't stop the occasional 'journalist' to come knocking.
And that's exactly what Rachel Newson, Jude Silas, and Nicolas Pierce did. These three college friends were training to become journalists. And their first unofficial and unasked-for task was to get the scoop on the 'Living Dead Girl'.
"This is Rachel Newson reporting in front of the now-local boy, Miles Kingly's, house. This boy, now 10 years old, was one of the very first victims, and is the only survivor, of the Salisbury murders. We are here to interview him now," Rachel stated in a mock-reporter voice.
Jude, who was recording, stopped rolling to allow the others to knock on the door.

Inside, Joyce and Rick Kingly, the adoptive parents, sat at the kitchen table with Miles in between them, and Rachel, Jude and Nic on the other side. Both Joyce and Rick wore frustrated, yet tired, facial expressions. Miles basically had a sad poker face on, fidgeting with his hands.
As they were setting up, Joyce finally spoke in an angry tone.
"I am so damn tired of you wanna-be Blair Witch chasers coming in here and having no regard for our poor boy's feelings!" She yelled, crossing her arms.
"We're terribly sorry, but this case is so well-known here, and we need answers," Rachel calmly apologized. "We promise compensation."
Both Joyce and Rick scoffed. "They always promise compensation. But we don't get a damn dime," Rick finally spoke up.
"You don't NEED answers, you just want them. No questions are being asked. There isn't a mystery waiting to be solved. It's just a psychopathic homeless man on the loose," Joyce spoke out again.
Both parents were really annoyed with these people. After they first adopted Miles, many of these reporters and investigators wouldn't stop knocking on their door for an exclusive interview. Rarely any money was ever made from this.
Thankfully, they're unconditional love and support for the boy kept him there. The couple would do anything for him. Even if it included dealing with these losers time and time again.
"Please. We promise $150 for this."
"$150? That can't even fix the damn door in the basement."
With a bit of negotiation, Rick and Joyce finally allowed the interview with their adopted son.
