Chapter 4: Her Crush on Todoroki... and Bakugou

Maiko's POV

Today was another comp day and everyone in Class 1-A wanted to come to watch which I was very excited about. They were all so supportive and I love them all.

"Hey guys," I greeted my team as I walked into the guard room.

"Hi Maiko," they said.

"Hi you guys," I greeted class 1-A.

"Hey Maiko," they said.

"Oh I have a surprise for you guys on Monday," I said with a smile and put my stuff down.

"Ooh I'm excited," Mina said.

"Maiko can you do the veins for me?" Akasuki said.

"Oh me too," Michiko said.

"Yeah of course," I said.

I did my teammates' makeup and we loaded everything on the truck and got going. We got to the competition and warmed up,  I started to panic, I started breathing uncontrollably. I was starting to cry, I covered my face, I didn't want people to see me like that. I saw Momo whisper something to my coach then called me aside.

I was still breathing uncontrollably.

"No, no, Maiko, look at me, deep slow breaths. In *inhale* and out *exhale*," she helped me breathe.

I did as she said and calmed down. We got ready to perform, I was hoping I wouldn't mess anything up.

We ended up doing very well which was a relief. I had to stay in uniform but it was a little cold so I was kind of suffering.

No One's POV

"Are you cold?" Todoroki asked Hirata.

"Maybe a little," she said.

"Here," Todoroki said and held out his hand. "Take my hand, I can use my fireside to help you stay warm," he said.

"Oh no that's okay, you don't have to do that," Hirata said.

He put his arm around her waist and pulled her in close.

"I insist, I don't want you to get sick," Todoroki said.

Hirata paused for a little and blushed.

"Thank you," she said leaning into him slightly.

I guess he does have a soft side, he's sweet when he's not serious, Hirata thought to herself.

Bakugou saw the whole thing and he was very angry. He didn't want to show anyone that he had a thing for Hirata but he couldn't help himself. He went up, pushed Todoroki off of her, and dragged her away.

"Bakugou what are you doing?" Hirata asked so confusedly.

He found a spot where no one was around and slammed her against the wall.

He made her look at him, "Let me get this straight," he leaned in closer. "Stay away from that icy hot and Deku."

He leaned away and left, she was shaken up but she didn't know what to do. Then Midoriya and Todoroki came to the spot she was left behind, they both saw what Bakugou did and came to check on her.

"Are you okay Maiko? I'm sorry I didn't act sooner, it just happened so fast," Todoroki said.

"Yeah I'm fine, he just scared me a little," Hirata said.

"Kaachan is like that sometimes, you just need to be careful," Midoriya said.

"Yeah, I'll keep that in mind," Hirata said.
