She jolted awake, panting. She looked around for a bit and realised she was still on the boat. 'A bad dream' she thought to herself. She had her arm fully submerged in the ocean, and she was wet with sweat.
She looked around to see Bolt approach her. He sat down next to her with a pen and paper in hand. She was still sweaty from the nightmare, but Bolt looked surprisingly happy."We still have about 2 hours left, so I thought we could come up with some hand signals for us. You know, to help communicate with each other." She nodded and smiled at his kind thought. So they spent the next hour figuring out hand signals and writing them down. They now had hand signals for 'yes', 'no', 'help', 'thank you', 'hungry', 'thirsty' and 'come'. Ocha was glad that she could communicate with Bolt now. She was worried they would be bounded by her inability to talk forever. About an hour later, Felix emerged from his cabin area.
"Mornin' miss, Bolt. We should arrive at Sydney in about 10 minutes, so I'm gonna have to ask ya two to come upstairs with me." He said in his crazed accent. They obeyed and went upstairs to where the controls were. Ocha looked over the ocean and saw a huge city up ahead. She noticed an extremely long bridge and a white building that looked like sails on top of a wooden deck. She was amazed at the size; her small town was nothing compared to this! She glanced over at Bolt, and she could tell by the look on his face, that he was excited to be home.
They landed and unloaded their luggage. Bolt said a word of thanks to Felix.
"Anytime lad!" He said. He then turned serious and signalled for them to come closer. He whispered in their ears,
"Tusta is coming. He knows you've left the country, so ya betta' be careful." He turned back to his happy self and nodded, then walked away.
Bolt and Ocha looked at each other. They would have to move quickly. They caught a cab as far as money would take them, and they ended out in Parramatta; a rather large suburb just west of the CBD. They found a hotel and settled in.It was about 9:00 by the time they had arrived, and Ocha quickly decided that she needed a shower. She looked at Bolt, and pointed to the shower, then herself. He quickly understood and started making himself some food. She locked herself in the bathroom and enjoyed the hot, soothing water on her back. She had never had hot water like this back in Tonga, and so she savoured it. She changed her clothes into something comfortable and unlocked the door. She was putting her dirty clothes in her suitcase when she realised that Bolt had fallen asleep; on the couch; with a plate of microwave spaghetti on his lap. She chuckled at his extreme exhaustion and put the food on the table. She grabbed a blanket, sat down next to him, and fell asleep.
