Shakhi SS - Till My Last Words

Chapter 5

"future mein kya hoga...mujhe ni pta...par hum apna aaj toh jee sakte hain..main tumhre sath wo har khushi mehsus karna chahta hun jo maine pehle kabhi bhi nahi kiya hu..plzz..mujhe aur khudko ...ek mauka do..." Shaurya said holding her hands like he is praying to her.

But what Anokhi did next shocked Shaurya . 

Anokhi hugged him suddenly and started sobbing hard "Shaurya main marna nahi chahti...mujhe jeena hai...aapke sath, aapke lye , Raina kai lye...plzz mujhe bacha lo...plzzz...mujhe bacha lo...plzzz" Anokhi was pleading and Shaurya was still numb since he thought that she will slap him or something like that .

But once he got his sense back again held her close to his heart, crying his heart out at his own helplessness. But slowly her voice started becoming...low and unclear. Shaurya rubbed her back thinking that she might have got tired, but after a moment , her body became limp. He panicked and pulled back to look at her face. She had gone unconscious. He carefully placed her on the bed and ran to the door "Sanya , Sanya!! " he started shouting and one of the staff informed Sanya that Shaurya is calling out for her. She picked up Raina in her arms and ran to reach there. She handed Raina to Shaurya and ran inside. She quickly connected the drip with the medicine to Anokhi's body and other assistant doctors too came to help. They attached her body to the several equipment's and read her heartbeat and  pulse rate.

On the other side, Shaurya held on to Raina ,comforting her .

"momma thik ho jaegi na?" Raina asked Shaurya innocently and he hugged her tightly to hide his tears from her.

"ha princess, momma bilkul thaik ho jaegi..." he assured her. Shaurya was strolling outside the room with Raina in his arms , while doctors did their work inside. Soon Raina drifted to sleep on his shoulders.

After a long time, Sanya came out. Shaurya rushed to her "kya hua? Kaisi hai ab wo?" he asked.

Sanya-" Tumhe useyitna rulana nahi chahiyeh tha...her heart rate had dropped considerably, that'swhy she fainted but now since , she is sleeping...it will become normal"

Sanya informed and Shaurya felt guilty. He thought , he should have chosen some other way to tell her his feelings.

"maine usey bata diya...ki wo mujhe apne jeene ka reason banaye" Shaurya informed Sanya,And Sanya squealed in excitement 

Sanya- "sachi??? Tumne bata diya...toh usne kya bola??" she enquired and Shaurya blushed and felt like a teenager who is describing his love life to his friend. "she agreed" he stated and Sanya gave him a side hug "i am so happy for you" she wished. When she had come to know about Shaurya's feeling's , she had warned him that this love is going to give nothing but pain and only pain. But he had not listened to her. But as time passed , Sanya noticed the happiness in Shaurya's life when he would be with Anokhi and Raina. She had decided then, to leave everything on fate.  

Anokhi slept through out the whole of the evening and night. Shaurya hadn't left her side and relaxed in a sitting position only while keeping an eye on her ever changing situation.

In the morning , Anokhi flickered her eye open and looked around searching for Raina . She found Raina sleeping on her usual place and then when she turned her head to the other direction, she noticed Shaurya sleeping in a sitting position on the couch. Moments from yesterday flashed in her mind and she felt happy knowing that Shaurya too wanted her in the same way as she did. But she felt weak and was unable to move her body. She sighed loudly and that caught the attention of Shaurya. His eyes flew open.

Shaurya - "kya hua, tum thik ho??" he asked her worriedly while coming to her side. While she flashed a beautiful smile , so that he could relax

Anokhi - "main thik hu" her voice sounded hoarse.

Shaurya bent down and quickly pecked her lips

Shaurya - "Good morning" he wished her. Anokhi looked at him with a shock look . 

Anokhi -"ye kya tha??" she asked him startled. Shaurya chuckled at her expression

Shaurya - "it was a good morning kiss" he answered straightforward, shamelessly and Anokhi felt shy at her own stupid question.

"momma, susu lagi hai" they heard Raina speak with her eyes still closed.

Shaurya looked at Anokhi confused "is she dreaming?" he asked and Anokhi smiled "no she is awake but she doesn't want to get up but she also knows that she can't afford to pee in the bed, so she wants me to carry her to the washroom" Anokhi informed Shaurya , as this is a habit of Raina.

"ok i will take her" Shaurya said

"just make her stand there, rest she will do on her own" Anokhi said and Shaurya followed her instruction. He came out of the washroom and placed Raina on the bed and she slept again. Shaurya walked back to Anokhi "main Sanya ko bulata hun...for your check up" he said but Anokhi stopped him "let her take rest, its too early in the morning and i am absolutely fine" she said and Shaurya nodded.

Afternoon (same day )

"Hello love birds" Sanya chirped as soon as she entered Anokhi's room 

"how are you doing Anokhi?" Sanya continued asking her other question's ignoring their glares and discomfort due to the presence of Raina.

"i am fine" Anokhi replied crisply

"let me check then" Sanya said moving forward and checking her vitals.

Shaurya who was playing snake and ladder with Raina, spoke "Sanya i want a better room than this for Anokhi and Raina, bigger, spacious and with all the essentials"

Anokhi tried to say something but Shaurya stopped her saying that "i am doing this for Raina" and Anokhi pouted. She had started behaving like a baby. We do this when we know that someone is there to bear our childish tantrums without any grudges or complaints.

"ok...that will be done...and yeah you are doing good Anokhi" Sanya said.

Within an hour they had been shifted in another room, which had tv, ac, refrigerator, etc. Raina hopped and jumped when she got to see cartoons on TV. She thanked her momma with numerous kisses all over her face but when Anokhi told her that it was done by Shaurya, Raina hopped into his arms and placed a big fat kiss on his both cheeks. Shaurya was so overwhelmed in that moment, that tears made its way and to hide them , he walked out of the room. he went to the washroom, wiped his tears, washed his face and returned back with a content smile. Anokhi silently observed all this. She wished , she could give him more of such happiness. Only if she could be cured...

And as if god granted her wish, Shaurya received a phone call from Ahir who  informed that a cancer research center in Mexico has studied Anokhi's case and is hopeful of curing her. They said that they haven't heard of such a cancer which grows in the wind pipe but they can try to cure her. Generally in the case of cancer, the source is operated and removed, but here the complication was that , this was not possible. They would have to find another way. 

At least there was some hope...

And the people who guessed that Anokhi must have hugged Shaurya you guys were almost correct .....and to the people who thought that she must have kissed or slapped him ..sorry but 🤣 . I  really enjoyed that part a lot .

And a small note the next chapter will be posted after 16th may
