Ch 18: burnt hearts

" where's Goldie when you need her" I grumble, kicking a rock into a bush on fire. "Fucking pebble. Fucking bush on fire" I talk to myself. "wait...." I stop walking and turn around "bush on fire!!" I shout and try to put the fire out, then notice there was a trail of fire in the shape of foot prints. "tha fuck?" I raise an eyebrow. "this could be interesting" I smirk and follow the trail, looking closely at the foot prints as the crackling of the fire got louder. I look up from the hot tracks
"flaming hot..." I pause "dude?" I question, he turns around and stares at me "ummm, hi" I wave a little, the guy starts to run
"and this is why I can't have nice things" I sigh and start to chase after the fire dude. "wait!!" I call out, running faster "bitch I need friends" i say, tackling the guy to the ground. He tries to struggle out of my grip
"please, I do not mean harm" he begs
"funny that, neither do I" I start to get off the guy. "I'm Franki" I help the guy up
"my name is flame prince" he bows, then looks at my slightly burnt clothes and sooty hands. "my apologies, I have burnt you" he frowns
"nah, it's just a bit warm" I shrug
"do wolves not feel pain?" He asked, amazed
"everyone feels pain, but we have thick skin to help us provide for friends and family" I nod, "wait, how did you know I was a wolf?" I ask
"you have ears and a tail, very much like a wolf" he says, pointing to my head
"oh yeah, I forgot" I shake my head, flame prince looks at me like I'm crazy "how could I forget I have wolf ears and a tail?!" I face palm. "fuck I'm dumb" I laugh

Marshall lee POV

I come back from my daze, I was floating around the candy castle, "where's Franki?" I ask Fiona,
"she's still at her house! Don't panic" she laughs a little at me,
"I'm going to her" I announce, leaving the castle. I fly low, In the shade. Avoiding contact with the sun. That bitch hurts.

I soon arrive at Franki's place, "Franki?" I call as I open the door, she wasn't there, "Franki" I call again as I float around the house, to her room, bathroom, even closet. No sign. I started to panic, what if she's hurt, or worse. "dead" my eyes widen. "I've got to find her" I leave the house as fast as I could, the sun started to set, slowly. "why can't you be on my side" I growl, glaring into the sky. I quickly fly back to my cave and into my house, grabbing a cloak and face mask. My guitar too.
I fly out of my cave, the face mask lowered. "where could she be" I mutter, flying high. I look around the best I could, she wasn't at Fiona's treehouse, nor the candy Kingdom.
The forest started to get dark, all I could see was a small glow of fire. "Franki" I whisper and fly lower, to the flame. I heard giggling and laughing. Franks laugh, I hide behind a tree spy on her and this flame guy.
"wait, you were kept in a jar" Franki stops laughing, the flame guy nods
"for many years" he adds.
"you are amazing!!" Franki exclaims, "you survived being in a jar for years, you can burn everything, not to mention your flaming hot!!" Franki looked like she was really enjoying this guys company. I grew sad. "looks like I'm not needed anymore"
