the sun is finally out after a few days of rainfall.

in those "few days", jake finally had the courage to do something that will make his life - or rather - his relationship with his soulmate turn upsidedown. he's been wanting to do this for the past years, yet he can't. there's a lot of what ifs which always makes him say "maybe next time, when i'm brave enough." and that "next time" had finally came.

he couldn't be prouder of himself. he just wanted to let all those thoughts and feelings out. the feelings that he's been suppressing for more than 5 years.

for once, he wanted to be brave enough to do something that he knows will be worthy. it may be risky or it may be something that will surely hurt him to the bone, but he is a hundred percent sure that he will never regret this.

it is now or never.

he looked at his phone one last time, checking if sunghoon had finally read his last message. and he does.

his heartbeat doubled in race, feeling all those mixed emotions in his stomach. he wanna puke, honestly. but he tried not to - just at least after he confess.

he took a glance at his reflection in the mirror, checking if he look fine or at least okay, yet he only get frustrated after seeing how nervous his face is.

"damn, whatever!"

he took a deep breath as he tried to fix the wrinkles on his jacket, as well as fixing his favorite black snapback.

as he went out into the washroom, he can hear nothing but the loud comforting ocean waves along with his heartbeat. he can feel it throbbing so hard like it does want to come out on its ribcage. he tried his very best to stay calm, or to at least look unbothered - but once again, he failed as he finally saw his soulmate - casually walking towards him with his infamous smile.

those smiles, those smiles that never fails to make his heart to pound a thousand times. those smiles that he wanted to see for the rest of his life.

"hi," sunghoon said - showing his cute dimples.

"hi." jake replied, not minding how nervous he may look.

chuckles escaped from the younger's mouth as he feels a little bit of awkwardness.

damn, never thought jake would be this cute. he thought.

he eyed him from head to toe, scanning how the older's body reacts. his cute little fingers are fidgeting under the hem of his jacket and he never thought, even for once, he will see that jake can be this cuter after he saw him decreased in height - because of the sand that made his feet sink.

he blushed in the thought of jake can now perfectly hear his heartbeat.

"okay look - i don't want to make this a little more longer anymore, but i want you to know that for the whole 6 years that we've been friends, i have been liking you for 5 years or so. i've been keeping this to myself because i am scared of what would be your reaction. i honestly don't want anything between us to end but it took me a lot of courage to do this and damn! i don't even know how did that happened but one thing is for sure, i like you a lot. not just because we are friends but more than that."

jake immediately looked away and he honestly didn't know where that came from - not even on the script that he made from the past few days. but as soon as he saw his soulmate - sunghoon - he just said everything at once. he said everything that he wanted to say, at least the most important ones.

after he said those things, he planned that he will turn his back and go home if the younger would stay silent for a few minutes - but dang, he does. he really does.
