"Let me in," he whispered in your ear.
You knew it was wrong. The constant rivalry of your families kept you two apart, and you have to admit, you held a hatred for him for a while, but over time realized it was an unprovoked hate.
Sitting here with him now though, your thoughts melted away. Your back on his chest, his words entering your head. It was so new, but you loved it.
"I want to," you paused before continuing. "But I don't know how."
"I can help you," his arms wrapped securely around you, "only if that's something you'd want."
"Show me. Help me, please," you said.
Both of you stayed there all night, getting lost in each other. Learning to love each other in every way possible.
You finally let go, and it was the best feeling ever. To be here, to be with him, loving him, you now realize it was all you'd ever wanted.
The night took you both. When the sun came up on the hill you laid, there was nothing between you both but a blanket.
A gentle hand on your head woke you.
Your arms wrapped tighter around him, as his arm slid down and rested on your back.
"Sleep well," he asked softly.
You gave a quiet, affirming hum in response.
His free hand caressed your face, being gentle as ever.
"Please stay with me," he said. A bit of a pleading tone in his voice.
The light of the sun increased, glazing over the treetops that sat below you. You turned your head, looking up to him now.
"I will," you respond. "I love you."
He smiled, and you returned it almost instantly.
"I love you too. I always have," he said.
