Countless people are going through very conflicted and pain-filled feelings during these past years of pandemic. Like Marilyn's collision, it feels like our world has been t-boned tossing us about relentlessly, breaking us into pieces before being thrown out to land in some unknown, unrecognizable place.
Parade Magazine commissioned a study by Ipsos about the effects of the pandemic in 2020. Out of 1000 people, they found that 55% were suffering from a rise in mental health issues. Of these, 74% were in the range of 18-34, (a very critical timeline in Marilyn's story of trauma, pain, and fear). The four most common issues were Stress; 42%, Anxiety; 40%, Depression 31%, Loneliness or isolation; 31%.
Marilyn was told by doctors it was all in her head. Her family wouldn't talk about 'It'. This is why her story is ready for now, it is meant to help those who are in need of knowing they are not alone. It is time to reach out and offer new thoughts to empower others so they too can discover how powerful and significant they are. We are all in this together!
1969 Marilyn is in a coma, Drs predict she will die in 24 hrs after a horrible collision destroyed half her 13-year-old brain and killed her boyfriend Tim. Today, she is a conduit for spirit, she helps others find peace but still, Marilyn's un-answered questions hold her inner-self hostage. Her guides and Tim help her to find 'The One' that will write her life story so she can re-member with; Who she really is.
Marilyn's life was changed forever, against all odds she lives, not because of modern science and a supportive family. She survived as proof of her inner strength, her guides, and her purpose.
The Space Between Time is a movement, expressing itself through this transformational memoir and beyond. This story is meant to tether our audience's sub-conscious with the experience of a young girl's personal relationship with her tragedy, isolation, abuse, mental illness, coping, and continued attempts at healing so that she can discover her soul's true calling.
Creative artists are mankind's wakeners to recollection: summoners of our outward mind to conscious contact with ourselves, not as participants in this or that morsel of history, but as spirit, in the consciousness of being. Their task, therefore, is to communicate directly from one inward world to another, in such a way that an actual shock of experience will have been rendered: not a mere statement for the information or persuasion of a brain, but an effective communication across the void of space and time from one center of consciousness to another. ~ joseph campbell
