Nightmare the caretaker

It had been a few days since Killer had joined, and there were problems every once in awhile. Thankfully, Chara hadn't shown themselves, but they still influenced Killer. Usually, Nightmare was able to get to him fast enough when he felt a spike in his negativity, or Killer was able to rein himself in, but there was one instance Nightmare wasn't fast enough.

Nightmare was currently in his office. He had a written out a list of the rules, but, for some reason, he couldn't find it. He was so frustrated, he hadn't noticed Killer's negativity spike. When Nightmare finally found the list, under two books for some reason, he suddenly jolted as he felt the negativity of Dust spike, and sensed worry from his last two trouble makers.

Nightmare teleported to where they were, and noticed Killer attacking Dust, who fought back. Dust was incredible at his magic attacks, but Killer kept dodging, a manic smile on his face. Bones and Horror were on the sidelines, although Horror had an axe out, and looked ready to join in at a moments notice. Another thing Nightmare noticed was the faint look of a smile behind Killer, as well as the voice softly whispering things to Killer.

Nightmare had seen enough, and made his presence known to all who were there. He shot his tentacles out of the shadows, one going in front of Killer to stop his advance, one behind Killer, and one shooting at him. Killer just smiled, and HATE poured out of his eyes like waterfalls as he jumped over the second tentacle, dodging his attack. Chara whispered something, and Killer nodded, but Nightmare wasn't going to give them a chance to do anything. Nightmare sent his tentacles to attack, staying in the shadows, only his glowing eye visible. Suddenly, Killer's knife glowed, and shot it at him. Nightmare simply sinked into the shadows, and appeared in another corner of the room, behind Killer. Killer jumped for the window, but he hands never even grazed it, as tentacles sprouted from all areas of the dark room, binding him. Nightmare sent one tentacle, and bound Killer with that, before dismissing the others.

Dust, Bones, and Horror just stared in shock. "What the fuck was that?" Dust asked, but, for now at least, Nightmare payed him no mind. "You." Nightmare said, and the three thought he was mad at Killer, as Nightmare shot a tentacle at him. They were worried, wondering who he would turn out to be, but we're confused when it shot past the trapped skeleton. When it finally hit the wall, they could see the faint outline of... was that Chara? Horror hadn't seen Chara in ages, and Bones never met them. All the two knew, was that it was a human. Dust, however, knew better. There was a Chara with this sans?

The Chara struggled, and if it could, it would be cussing out Nightmare. "How annoying, you really don't know how to leave people alone. Do you? Pest." Nightmare said with venom, before surrounding the Chara, and crushing them to death... again. Once that was done, Killer started to giggle, and Nightmare apologized to him. "Sorry, Killer, for not getting here fast enough. You are not hurt, are you?" Nightmare asked, letting a hint of worry seep into his voice. Killer was silent for awhile, HATE still flowing, but a lot slower. "Heh... heh... h..." Killer started, before tilting his head up, waiting a few seconds to registered what Nightmare had said. "I... my HP has not lowered." Killer finally decided to say, and Nightmare sighed, before nodding. He then turned to the three. "How about you three? You alright?" Nightmare asked, and each nodded. Dust walked up to Nightmare, wanting to know what that was, but a tentacle went up, instead of a hand. "Sorry, Dust. Killer hasn't set up his rules, so you will have to wait until after." Nightmare explained. Dust groaned in annoyance, but nodded.

Nightmare walked out of the room with Killer still wrapped up in his tentacle, before turning around and telling the three to 'clean up the mess you made'. He then went to his office, and sat Killer in the chair opposite his desk, before sitting down himself. Nightmare then pulled out a piece of paper, and asked Killer if he wanted 'Don't talk to Killer about Chara' to be added onto the rules list. It was silent for awhile, before Killer nodded. "Anything else you want to add?" Nightmare asked, and Killer had to think, before he shook his head. "Well, if you think of anything, just come to me. Also, note that if you bring up Chara, the others will most likely ask any questions, regardless of rules." Nightmare explained, and Killer nodded. That made sense.

The rest of the day was with Killer acting a bit off, and then everything fine a second later. Nightmare kept an even closer eye on him the whole day. Nightmare also explained the rule to the other three, and they respected it in kind, even if they wanted answers. If they didn't respect Killer's rules, why should anyone respect theirs?

The next incident happened three days later, but Nightmare reacted much faster that time. So that's how it goes, usually two or three times a week, an incident would happen with Killer, and Nightmare would show up to fix it.

Very simple and straightforward chapter. Chara is an integral part of Killer, so it won't be that easy to get rid of them. But note, it won't always be this bad for Killer!
