Nightmare the caretaker

Information on this au

Not sure if anyone else has done this au, all I know is that I haven't seen anyone do this. Basically, after leaving his own au in a wreck, he finds his own castle and stuff. Here he makes himself at home. Eventually, he finds Dust in his au and takes him in, helping him with his hallucinations, sleep deprivation, and his addictions. Not right away of course, and he'll still have some of this stuff when the story starts, just not to the point of him being unable to move anywhere and him actually being able to sleep at times. Anyways, he also finds Horror and Killer and the three join Nightmare, creating a kind of small family. They run into Error a few times and team up once or twice to get rid of the star sanses, as Error doesn't like any of the star sanses, and Nightmare has a real distaste for Dream. Error sometimes goes to the castle, the location given to him by Nightmare as long as Error doesn't betray him. Eventually Nighmare also takes Cross in and some other people from other aus.

The reason Nightmare takes people in, he won't say. Most likely he sees himself in them, turning into him quickly getting attached, even if he won't admit it. He had always felt alone in his au, even when Dream was by his side. I mean, Dream did leave quite often to hang with the villagers, and Nightmare never had anyone other than him. This eventually blossomed to Nightmare taking anyone in who was wronged or didn't really deserve what happened to them, or people who were betrayed in some way, like he was. Everyone he took in was allowed to stay on the condition that they never betray him or anyone else there, not in a real way anyways. Betrayal during little card games was fine, of course.

Soon, Nightmare's permanently negative castle had many people in it, and they all were content in the negative 'suffocating' environment. It was home to them all.

Some people who are here that aren't normally associated with the bad sanses is a handplates sans and papyrus. They were saved by Nightmare when they were still getting experimented on, and the au was quickly destroyed. They are called the 'handy twins', and their names are P and S respectfully. I've been thinking a few Charas should come and go as well, but I'm not sure which ones. Reapertale Chara seems like an easy one, but idk who else.

If you want a certain au or character to be with the bad sanses please tell me in the comments, a bit of information would be helpful, but not required as I could research it on my own, I guess.

P.S. the bad sanses don't really start destroying until Error comes along and explains the balance, the bad sanses then insisted on helping him, not taking 'no' for an answer.
