Riccardo's POV

I followed Daniel, Rico, and Zoe back up to the VIP section while my security guards took David to our cellar, I'll deal with him later. Once they got Zoe to sit down on the couch, I sat beside her and started talking to her.

"Zoe, what the fuck happened?" I asked her in concern. "He gave me a good ass drink and when I tell you that shit was GOOD! But it gets better, he gave me another drink that tasted like mango and pineapple. That was good too! But then it got even better-" She slurred until I interrupted her and told her that's enough talking. She slouches back in her seat and "focuses" on the conversation but I know she really isn't focused since she isn't in her right state of mind right now.

"What the fuck." I said holding the bridge of my nose and shaking my head. "Alright, we're leaving. Now." I said grabbing Zoe's hand and walking out of the bar. "Why are we leaving so early?!" Zoe yells. "Because I have business to handle." I said putting her in the car and driving off.

Zoe's POV

I don't know what happened but I'm starting to sober up now. I don't remember anything before, the only thing I do remember is me getting back into the VIP section and Riccardo asking me what happened.

I look out the window as Riccardo drives me home, total silence filling the car. I didn't know how to break it, it would be awkward to talk about anything. "You did good by the way, it wasn't your fault. It was mine. I should've been paying attention." He says as I look his way. "What do you mean you should have been paying attention, you told me you would keep a close eye out for me?"

"Well, Roberto interrupted me and we had an argument. He took me to that...room and I wasn't paying attention to you like I should have." He says focused on the road. "It's not your fault. It's his fault, he decided to give you a bunch of drinks." He puts his hand on my thigh. "It is my fault. It's okay for you to admit it. Let's stop talking about it now, I need to stay focused."
"So you're saying talking about the mission is distracting?"

"No, I'm saying that situation kind of...never mind forget about it." He says cutting himself off and going silent. "What?" I say turning my head towards him. "Nothing. Let's listen to music, okay?" I nod my head knowing that he won't tell me either way. "Thank you." He says turning the radio on drowning out my thoughts with the music.

We finally pulled up into the driveway and like usual, he gets out and opens the door for me as I step out. We walk into the house and everyone turns to me in concern. "I'm fine." I say as they look like they're going to swallow me in a bunch of questions.

They all sighed in relief and went back to what they were doing as I stumbled up the stairs and to my room. I'm guessing Riccardo went to his room because he didn't follow me as I expected. I lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling as my head spun constantly. I'm still at loss for words, how did I mess up? I continue to let thoughts run through my head as I fell asleep.

Riccardo's POV

The next morning, I do my morning routine and get dressed. I wanted to make Zoe some breakfast so I walk into the kitchen and start cooking some pancakes, sausage, bacon, and omelets.

I was in the middle of making the sausages when I see Zoe walk down the stairs tiredly and yawning. "Who's cooking?" She asks rubbing her eyes. "Me." I smile at her as I approach her. I gave her a big hug and told her to sit down.
