Chapter 8: I remember everything

Min Jae's POV

We arrived in front of a locked door, I went near it with xiumin beside me "I, Park Min Jae, am back to this passage after a very long time, when I say the word this door in front of me shall open" I said probably to no one but the door in front of me, it is actually voice activated "Park Jihee" I said and closed my eyes, I heard a buzz which is telling me that the answer is wrong "sorry but your answer is incorrect" said the computerized voice "get down!" I shouted and grabbed xiumin's shoulder down just then an arrow came across and we stood back up "that's weird, why is the password wrong?" I asked myself and thought hard "sorry for bothering your thoughts but who's Park Jihee?" Xiumin asked "that's umma's name, she uses her name as the password, but I forgot this one" I said he suddenly hugged me from the back which totally gave me shivers down my spine and my heart is beating like a drum "then focus and concentrate, remember what your umma said about..... Wherever this place is" he whispered and nuzzled on my neck and sniffed my scent, he's still holding my hand though. I closed my eyes and concentrated

"Min Jae sweetie, I changed the password at our hang out place" umma said weakly, while I am crying beside her, the doctor said that she reached her limit already and its time to exchange goodbyes "*sobs* what is it umma?" I asked and held her hand.

"Remember the filipino song that we sing when we're together?" Umma asked "ne, the title is hawak kamay right?" I asked while tears strolled down my cheeks "ne, all you need is to sing the song" she said weakly, both of us are alone at the hospital room cause appa is talking to the doctor "ne umma" I said and she weakly held my cheeks "annyeong sweetie, saranghae tell your appa that I will watch him from above and that I also love him, take care of pearl for me also visit you halmeoni and harabeoji arraseo? I already reached my limit. Annyeong" umma said and as she said every word I nodded and then she closed her eyes and her hand fell from my cheek to the bed, I saw a tear fell from her eyes, then the heart monitor turned into a straight line "UMMMA!!!! ANIYO!!! JEBAL!!!" I said as I hugged umma's lifeless body but I'm too late so I stood up and wiped my tears "arraseo, I'll do everything for you umma, nado saranghae I hope you'll be happy at heaven" I said and kissed umma's forehead.

I opened my eyes "you remember now?" Xiumin asked and I nodded my head "can you please release from the hug cause I think the password is long" I said and he obidiently agreed and released the hug, I took a deep sigh.

I started singing hawak kamay while xiumin looked at me the whole time. As soon as I finished, the doors opened revealing the dusty old room that my mom and I used when we hangout "Come on" I held xiumin's hand went inside, I turned on the lights "we better clean this place up" he said and I nodded.

We cleaned the whole place and rest at the couch after "why can't you remember us Jae?" He suddenly asked which made me look at him in confusion "what are you talking about?" I asked and he looked at me "try to remember Jae, Me, your brother and the guys, try remembering us Jae" and so I did.

I tried my very best in remembering then my head suddenly hurt

We were appointed to have a family reunion at the park, when we arrived there, I played with the oppas "yah! Yeollie oppa! Stop that!"

We were playing water guns and I was having so much fun. I hid behind a tree then suddenly a butterfly took my attention. I dropped my water gun and followed the butterfly. I didn't care where I was going until...

"Minjae!!"

Darkness was all I could see...

The next day, I woke up without remembering my past, appa told me that I was asleep for a year already

I held my head tight as my tears keep falling down, "Jae ah!" Xiumin shouted then hugged me, I hugged him back

"Baozi oppa!" I shouted then the pain in my head reduced, xiumin oppa pulled away from the hug and looked at me with wide eyes "you remember now?" He asked and I nodded

"I remember everything, gomawo oppa" I hugged him and he hugged me back.
