Slowly I arise up out of my bed
The pain of being all by myself again
Is starting to sink back in
And I'm starting to think that it is over
Something always seems to cross my mind
I've gazed into the dreams that I've built inside
But nobody sees what I'm seeing tonight
And I believe the end is closer

Then a flashing light streaks across the skies
And tears begin to fill up my eyes
The great big wonder makes me realize

How long have I lived without your care
Without running your fingers through my hair
Without a simple touch of your hand
How long have I hoped for all my life
Without blaming myself
For taking everything in strife
And a long lost love to stand by me

I never thought that I was good enough
Living in fear, I've prayed to the gods above
And the darkness closes in
And the spark of love grows ever dimmer
I always knew you'd finally come around
Crashing into my life, burning it all the way down
And the battles stop within
These memories make me remember

The stars and planets begin to align
And now finally I'm able to feel alive
Deep inside I begin to realize
