Steve was at the Avengers compound with the other Avengers.

It was a typical Friday night, Clint, Pietro, Nat and Wanda were watching a Disney movie, Bruce was teaching Thor something about humans (Thor looked terribly confused), Yelena was making macaroni in the kitchen, Bucky and Sam were arguing- oh wait, not anymore- now they're making out, Steve rolled his eyes.

Tony was out on a date with some girl, for some reason thinking about it made Steve's stomach churn- 'for some reason' quit the bullshit Steve- you know the reason. He did know the reason, everyone knew the reason, everyone except Tony of course.

Tony.

Steve sighed. He was about to get up and go to bed, when the door burst open. Everyone looked up from what they were doing. Tony walked in, looking unhappy. He muttered a hi quickly then went to his room without another word. Everyone then turned from Tony to Steve.

'What?' Steve asked, already knowing what the answer was going to be.

'Looks like the date didn't go well,' Nat said, smiling slightly.

'So?' Steve said grumpily.

'Maybe she wasn't what he's looking for- maybe what he's looking for is-' Clint started.

'Please stop- I don't have a chance with Tony, he isn't even gay!' Steve didn't want to give himself hope, him and Tony was never going to happen.

'I wouldn't jump to conclusions too quickly- I didn't know I was gay until I met Sam,' Bucky said.

'What are you talking about? What about your crush on Steve?' Sam asked.

Steve was too busy thinking about Tony to realise what Sam said.

Bucky blushed.

'Shut up Sam- I'm trying to prove a point,' he said angrily.

Sam chuckled.

'Fine, I'm glad you're gay for me.'

Bucky crossed his arms and sneered at him. Sam laughed and wrapped his arms around Bucky to annoy him.

Suddenly Yelena walked into the living room.

'I made macaroni! Who wants some?'

Everyone chattered happily.

'I'll have some too,' Steve said, grabbing a plate.

'Not until you go talk to Tony,' Yelena said with a smirk on her face.

'Really? Fine-' Steve said getting up.

'What do I even say?' he asked at the door.

Everyone was too busy chatting and eating macaroni to answer.

'You guys are no help-' Steve said, and he went to Tony's room.

He sighed before opening the door.

'Hey,' Steve said softly.

Tony was sitting on the bed with his legs crossed, tinkering with some piece of metal. He looked up.

'Oh, hi,' he said shyly. There was a short period of silence.

'Is there anything you wanted to tell me?' Tony asked.

'I- uh- Yelena made some macaroni if you want some,'

'Oh,' Tony looked almost disappointed.

'Okay, I'll have some,' he said, getting up.

'How did the date go?' Steve asked quickly.

Tony turned to face him.

'It- uh, it didn't go very well, not because of the girl- she was really nice- it's just- she's not-'

Tony stuttered.

Steve looked at him confused, fumbling with his fingers.

Tony's chocolate brown eyes met Steve's blue ones.

They looked desperate, as if they wanted to tell him something.

'It's okay, you can tell me- or- you don't have to if you don't want to- I-' Steve started, why was he so bad at this?

'It's just- she's not-' Tony paused, he looked as if he was thinking hard. 'She's not you,' Tony said quietly, almost a whisper.

'W-what?' did he hear that right? No- it can't be-

Steve had a shocked expression on his face, he also wasn't aware that he was blushing furiously.

Tony smiled a small smile. He walked towards Steve, also blushing now.

'She's not you,' he whispered, and he kissed Steve softly. It took him a moment to process first, but then he kissed back, putting his hands on Tony's waist.
