After Scarlett received that last email, she quickly replied saying that she was free to go ahead with the meeting today and the two of them scheduled it for 3:00 PM. She was already ready for the day by this time and so only had to wait for the time to leave to roll around. Which she knew was going to feel like ages. To pass the time Scarlett answered more emails and text messages whilst enjoying her coffee and then decided to watch some TV, even though she had no desire to sit still and concentrate on anything anymore.

About half way through the first episode of a random show she had found, she thought about Arlo and how talking to her would go, suddenly remembering that she could use this time to make a start on learning some sign language so she wouldn't be completely clueless, but she knew that she still had Mrs Moore to help her along and translate the harder things. So, Scarlett brought her laptop into the living room and searched up an ASL dictionary, which helpfully showed her the ways to sign the alphabet and a few greetings and common, easy things to sign.

Before she knew it, it was 2:20 PM and she was heading to her car for possibly one of the most important meetings she would ever go to, and Scarlett had been to a lot meetings in her life, but none of them mattered to her as much as this one did. She desperately wanted this to go well and she was pretty nervous about it all and if this didn't work she didn't think she would have the heart to try and find another orphanage, or another child and try to move on with her life, after seeing Arlo and practically falling in love with her at first sight.
