Yasmin was shocked. Finally away from that Harris b1tch. Finally an own office. She was so happy about it that she needed a little while to speak again.
"Wait, is it only because of the meeting?", she wondered.
"No. I read through your file and I liked it. I clearly see the potential in you. I don't want to waste it by letting you to all that file work. You're good with people, you know how to sell."
"Thank you. Thank you so much I am so happy."
"It's your credit, for being so good at your job. It's already late, should I drive you home?", he offered.
"No no. It is very nice of you to offer, but I don't want you to drive a detour. You can just let me off at the next bus station."
"Tell me your address. You don't need to drive bus at such a late hour.", he resisted. Yasmin told him her address and he drove her there. On their way the had a little conversation again.
"Do you live alone?", he asked.
"No, I live with my boyfriend. But I actually spend most of the time at my brother's house."
"I see.", he shortly answers. Soon they arrived at Yasmin's home.
"Tomorrow you just go to the reception and say that you are Mr. Kangs new personal assistant, and they'll lead you to your new office.", Mr. Kang said to her as she took her seatbelt off.
"Alright, I'll do that. And thank you again.", she said and quickly went out of the car. She ran upstairs full of energy.
"Woah, what happened to you, babe?" Brian asked, kind of confused.
"Guess who got promoted today! It was so sudden but I'm sooo lucky. In front of you is standing the new personal assistant of Theodore Kang.", she proudly said.
"Theodore Kang? He is your boss? He is the one you spent the whole day with?", Brian got alerted.
"Yes. Why? I thought you knew.", Yasmin answered. Now she was the confused.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier. You won't take the promotion if that means that you're going to spend even more time with him.", Brian stated.
"Are you crazy?! Of course I am."
"I know that bastard since high school. He was two years older and always thought he was so cool. Handsome, good grades, athletic. I hate him."
"Okay, you were jealous of him in high school, but that is no reason at all for me to decline that offer. It's amazing."
"It's not! He is an asshole and I don't trust him. I don't want you to take the offer."
"Well, too bad I will not let your jealous ass stand in my way to reach the top at my career. This is my first step and some day I'll have my own company." They continued arguing for a few more minutes, until Yasmin just stormed out of the apartment. He went straight to Alex' home.
