Chapter 7: He's just my boss

She fell. But instead of the hard contact with the floor, she felt a pair of strong arms holding her up. "You should be more careful.", a known deep voice said, let her down, took the file from her and went back to the car. She followed him.

"Here's your money.", he said and handed her an envelope. He dropped her off at home. "I'll let you know if I need you again."

When she got in her apartment, she saw Brian sleeping on the couch. All over the coffee table was food and beer. He also had a beer in his hand. She walked over to him and shook him. Brian slowly opened his eyes and when recognized her, he sat up. "Where have you been, huh? Were you with Theodore again? What did you guys do? And why would you show up here, don't you feel ashamed of yourself?!"

"I was on a mission. If you would have come to our team meetings, you would've known. I thought maybe I would come home and apologize for storming out last night and maybe agree that it was all a big misunderstanding. But no. Instead, I come home to a half-drunk boyfriend who accuses me of cheating."

"Oh, don't act so innocent, Yasmin. I know you find Theodore attractive."

"This whole thing is not about Mr. Kang! He's my boss and I would not get in a sexual or romantic relationship with him. This is not about him, it's about you! It's about you being jealous and not trusting me, even tho I've been loyal. Ever since we started talking, I have been loyal, while you still talked to a few other girls, when we started."

Again, Yasmin was the one to storm out of the apartment, leaving him alone. On her way to Alex, she started crying. She really thought, she was gonna marry him one day. But this has been a problem for so long now over and over again, she couldn't take his shit anymore.

When she reached her brother's home, she fell into his arms and cried herself out. She cried herself to sleep, in her brother's arms.

- - Time skip: about two weeks later - -

She woke up by Alex shaking her. As she took a look on the clock, she immediately jumped off her bed. She was late. Not only late for work, but for the business trip. She was going to Japan for two days, with Mr. Kang. He wanted the company to take some more inspiration in the Japanese architectural style.

Luckily, she made it to the airport in time. And there he stood, perfectly dressed up as always. A beige suit with a matching vest underneath, a white button up shirt and perfectly shining shoes. Yasmin neared him. They got closer over the two weeks. I mean, it's normal to grow closer to someone you talk to everyday and spend the whole day almost next to each other.

"Good morning, Mr. Kang.", she politely greeted him.

"Oh, Yasmin, it's just Theodore.", he told her smiling, gave her the ticket and entered the plane. In the plane, right when she was about to fall asleep, she thought about Brian. She hasn't seen him since the argument. He doesn't even show up in the meetings. Maybe it's better this way. She knew for longer, that there was something wrong with the relationship. It stressed her, and that's not what a relationship is supposed to do.

Yasmin also hasn't heart of dominus since the last mission. Was that it? Does he have what he was searching for? And did he delete the pictures? THE PICTURES!

Thinking about that she shot her head up. "Is everything okay?", Theodore asked her.

"Huh? Oh yeah, I just remembered something. All good.", she nervously replied.

"By the way, how is your boyfriend?"

"Oh, about him, I kinda broke up.", she slowly admitted.

"How come? Sorry, if I'm crossing the line."

"No, it's okay. He always acts up whenever I talk to any other males and I don't know a lot of little stuff happened and overall I just couldn't be with him anymore."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I hope you'll get over it soon."

She fell asleep in the plane.
