"Larch! Jump is kitting!" Spark's voice broke the dawn silence, Autumn jumped awake, Squirrel and Dandelion lifting their heads sleepily. Autumn lulled her kits back to sleep and picked her way past them, her paws pricking with worry for Jump.
Larch broke into a run across camp into the nursery, Autumn trailed past Thorn and Cloud, peeping her head into the nursery. Larch quickly turned to Spark.
"Spark, grab a stick, make sure it's sturdy." She spoke, Spark nodded and sprinted past Autumn and outside camp.
"Careful, Jump." Larch meowed calmly, bending down to give the queen a gentle lick on the forehead. The white she-cat gentle rubbed her paws on the queen's belly, gently guiding the kits.
Then, Spark broke through the nursery, dropping a sturdy stick by Jump.
"Take the stick and bite down when you need too." Larch ordered, the black she-cat biting down on the stick, almost breaking it between her grasp.
"Push." Larch meowed, guiding the kits again, Jump letting out a muffled wail, Autumn backed out of the nursery, flicking her tail, she settled down beside it, Shadow approaching her.
"Autumn, how's Jump doing?!" The midnight black tom asked urgently.
"She's doing great, Shadow." Autumn meowed, brushing her muzzle on Shadow's. "She'll live." She meowed with amusement.
"I know that." Shadow muttered, settling down Beside Autumn.
Another wail shattered the air, then all went quiet. Larch padded out of the nursery.
"I have some bad news..." Larch meowed reluctantly.

Autumn gasped, Jump had three kits, but two had died.
"Oh no- Jump must be devastated!" Autumn meowed with sympathy.
"You're allowed to go see her, one cat at a time, though." Larch responded as Autumn pushed past her into the nursery.
"Autumn? I'm so glad you're here." Jump meowed, her tail curled over her remaining kit, colored in a bright blue.
"Jump, your kit, how..?" Autumn stared at the bright blue cat in shock, no other cat in the clan had such a pelt.
"Autumn, i- i had a kit with a loner...'' Jump confessed.
"What!" Autumn gasped, her tail slowly starting to lash back and forth.
