Robert the Doll is probably one of the most known haunted dolls of all time. He was received in 1906 by a person/people who practiced black magic, or, voodoo, as some call it. His receiver was a painter, who was, at the time, just a little boy, named Eugene Otto.

Eugene's parents saw Eugene, at times, talking to Robert. Robert was also talking to their son. But they just thought it was just Eugene replying to himself, in a changed voice. Later on they realized that Robert was the one talking.

The family would catch glimpses of Robert running down hallways, or into different rooms of the house. When they were not in the house, when they were out at work or so on, when the neighbours were on their lawns or looking out of their windows, they saw Robert moving around, too. They thought they were going mad, but they were not going mad. They saw it.

Some nights, Eugene would wake up in the middle of the night, screaming. When his parents ran in to his room to see what was the matter with their child, they would see all of Eugene's furniture rearranged. Then Eugene would say in a panicked voice, "Robert did it!" They doubted Eugene.

Also, they would hear Robert let out sinister giggles. Guests would come to their house and also hear the giggles. And they swore that they saw Robert's face expression change right in front of their faces.

In 1974, the Ottos, they moved out of their house and abandoned Robert in it. The same year a ten year old girl opened up the box Robert was in, and that's when, again, hell broke loose.

She would, the ten year old, would wake up just like Eugene, screaming and sometimes crying, and when her parents saw the upside-down furniture, the girl said that Robert tipped her furniture.

Then in 2004 at the age of 39, the used-to-be ten year old confessed her childhood and said that Robert wanted to kill her. That was during an interview on the national/international news.

There is a legend that says that, if you want to take a picture of Robert, you must ask for permission. If he tilts his head that's a yes. If he does not, he disagrees. If you take the picture when he disagrees or if you do not ask for permission, he curses you and your family.

Robert's current location is at Fort East Museum, and he is a popular attraction for photographers and paranormal investigators, as well as the ordinary regular-Joe tourists or watchers.
