What happened to us
I thought it was love
Was I wrong about the way you would look at me
Did I miss read the way you would kiss me
The way you would hold me
The way you would whisper reassurances in my ear
Was I wrong?
Was there anything ever there?
Was all the times we spent together just a past time
How come I never noticed the sparkle in your eyes diminishing
The way you would look at me less and less
Never did I notice how you would spend less time with me
Maybe I was in over my head
To busy remembering the good times
I failed to see the signs
