episode one: lost

you walk down the empty road, there was a faint smell of rain in the air.
'it's going to rain soon.' you thought to yourself. your clothes were dirty, you had been walking for a day, you were exhausted. your back hurt from carrying your bag, and your feet and knees were scratched up.
'maybe i can rest here..' you saw trees forming in the distance. you walked a little farther and set your bag down. rubbing your shoulders, you sat down and watched the sunset as it started to rain. you slowly closed your eyes and drifted off to sleep listening to the sounds of raindrops hitting the leaves

when you woke up, you could hear the morning birds chirping. when you squinted your eyes, there were two men standing above you poking you with guns. you opened your eyes fully they instantly reacted pointing their weapons at you.
your eyes widened and your heart pounded in your chest. you didn't move.

"GET UP." they waved their guns at you as you struggled to get up. not breaking eye contact with their hands.
the other one shoved the tip of the gun into your back.

"COME ON MOVE!"
you started to walk forward, your hands and legs shaking with every step. so many thoughts rushed through your head. what was happening??
"STOP." one of the men yelled from your right, you froze. you looked to the side trying not to move a muscle. you just wanted to see where they were.
the one on the right walked beside you and placed his hand on a tree. a piece of bark slid out and revealed a keypad. before he typed in the code, the man on the left grabbed your jaw and turned your head away from the mysterious tree. you finally saw his face. he was wearing a mask that covered half of his face so you could only see his eyes. but you could see that he was angry.
'it's fine... it's fine...' reassuring yourself wasn't working anymore. you felt like you were about to fall to the ground any moment.

behind you, there was a loud machine noise. you could hear dirt and leaves falling on the rocks under you.
the left man let your face go and pushed you again with his gun. when you looked in front of you there was a door. looking inside, you could see that the entrance led to more forest. you looked back at the tree again, and you noticed that beyond it. there was a reflective wall. how did you not notice that before??
you walked through the doorway thinking about what you just saw and how it was possible.
after walking for 10 minutes, you could see a house through the trees. the closer you got the bigger the house was.

you walked down the wavy path bordered with gardens. once you arrived at the front doors the men told you to stop once again. they waited there for a second before the big doors opened before you. there was another man in expensive clothing who bowed and led you inside. when you looked around the big and spacious room, it was all white. everything looked pristine and extravagant. there were paintings, statues, and plants placed accordingly. the two men walked you over to two big with doors with gold engraved into them. the right man opened the doors and the left man pushed you inside, but this time you stumbled and fell. your palms and knees hit the floor with a loud thud. you stared at the floor and could feel anger boiling inside you. you clenched your fists, as you sat there trying to control yourself you suddenly noticed a pair of shiny black shoes standing before you. you looked up and saw a tall boy standing there.

he looked down on you with a blank expression.
you guys held an intense eye contact until one of the men spoke up.

"we found her sleeping outside the gates sir." you turned your head around to look behind you.

"we think she may have been trying to find the entrance sir."

"i was just trying to-" you were cut off by the boy. you looked back to him and he was still eye contact with you.
"shh."
he squatted down and placed his finger under your chin. he lightly turned your head inspecting your face. he froze for a second and his eyes widened a bit. he slowly brought his hand back to his side and he got back up.

"should we kill her sir?"

"no. you may leave."
you looked behind you and saw shocked looks on the two mens faces. they both nodded and walked out of the room. you look back to the boy and he had his hand held out to you.
you were hesitant, but you grabbed it and he helped you off of the floor finally. he held your hand for a second, he let go and left the room leaving you there clueless.
'what just happened....' you thought.
a minute later, a woman came inside, she was wearing a maids outfit and her hair was tied up. she looked sweet as she quickly walked over to you swinging her arms.
"oh you poor sweet girl come with me" she placed her hand on your back and urged you to go with her. you complied and went with her. she led you to a bathroom.
"stay right there darling."
she left for a second and came back shuffling in with some towels. she placed them on the marble counter and she grabbed some soaps from a cabinet.
"go ahead and clean yourself up, you can use anything in here it's all new. i will go search for some clothes."
she bowed and went to the door.
"thank y-" before you could finish talking she was already out the door.
you looked around the bathroom, everything was made out of an expensive tile or marble. you walked towards the shower and started to undress.

when you got out of the shower, as you were wringing the water out of your hair you noticed that there were nicely folded clothes next to the towels. your eyes darted over to the door and the lock was vertical. you ran over across the room and locked it, you shook the handle a bit to make sure it was locked. you sighed and began to dry yourself off.
you wrapped up your hair in a towel and unfolded the clothes. it was just a simple shirt with sweatpants, you slid them on and they fit perfectly.
you brushed your hair and teeth. you unlocked the door and walked out of the bathroom with the towels you used draped over your arm. you cautiously roamed the halls looking for the nice woman you spoke to earlier.
there were so many doors and so many windows. you found a giant painting on one of the walls. there were 5 people in it. you saw the boy from earlier in it, along with a girl and a blonde boy. as you inspected the painting you heard someone walk up to you from behind.
