Yoongi was furious. Confused too, but mostly furious.
It'd been two days. Two fucking days, and still he couldn't jump into her dreams. She wouldn't let him.
He felt it, right in his bones. How she'd completely withdrawn herself from his thoughts, stopped focusing on him altogether. How she'd unknowingly created this wall between them, as she spent her days fixating and listening to Namjoon's songs, fangirling over him, soaking in the so-called comfort he provided her.
Neither "Agust D" nor "D2", it was "Rap Monster" and "Mono" playing repeatedly on her playlist, how the tunes and lyrics circulated through her mind, how instead of "Shadow", she vibed with "Persona" three times a day and how fucking relieved she felt hearing Namjoon's voice.
It made Yoongi miserable. Not only did she leave him that day, but also started to wholly ignore his existence. He was furious with this turn of events, and with Namjoon, though he knew that the poor man didn't deserve it. After all, Namjoon had thoroughly supported him all through his troubles.
Up until now, all Yoongi felt was the connection. A tug, a protectiveness, an anchor to someone's sanity, a hope, a way to relief. Everything he'd ever felt for her was mostly platonic. It'd started to change since they actually met, but after their last encounter, Yoongi was sure that the properties of his feelings were not so pure anymore.
The intense surge of jealousy at having her whole attention on Namjoon was burning him inside out, so much so that even a flash of Namjoon's face made him feel like murdering the younger.
Yoongi couldn't exactly tell when protectiveness fused into possessiveness, anchor became shackles, hope became sparse Oxygen and the way led to one single destination.
Her.
He needed her.
So when he finally found himself in her dream the second night, he couldn't be happier. The scenario was somewhat different from before. They were all sitting inside a Limousine, and Namjoon brought her inside the car, looking vividly anxious. The underlying tension and pressure inside the vehicle was also painfully prominent.
Yoongi patiently waited, glaring coldly at the door through which she came in. Namjoon didn't want to leave her there, but he interrupted.
"Let her be." He ordered. The younger sighed before closing the door.
The other members in their dream looked around as she took a seat between him and Jungkook. The youngest froze, clearly feeling Yoongi's wrath. Yoongi turned slightly on his left to face her properly.
He took a moment to admire her. His eyes glided over her fidgety form, sweaty hands and clamped mouth. He also gave himself time to gather his thoughts because this was the first time they were gonna talk to each other in their dreams.
She had her eyes closed tightly, but that didn't matter.
"What do you think you're doing, huh?" Yoongi started deeply, leaning near her ear, "Running around, playing hide-and-seek like a pro, what point are you trying to prove? That everything is a lie? I'm a lie? That I don't feel anything you feel? Who told you that you could just abandon me and run away?
"Even if you deny everything, that won't change the truth. We're connected. By what fate I don't know, but it's fucking staying that way! You're not leaving me anymore, period. I want you here, with me, so you stay. You have to listen and accept, do you understand?"
And the way the dream suddenly broke off there, made Yoongi gasp out loudly on his bed, inside the caravan. He was thankful that Seokjin slept with Taehyung and Jungkook on the other side of the vehicle. He sat up slowly, clutching his head, feeling a headache coming up. But that wasn't what worried up.
