As they sat eating the food Kuea had ordered, Lian opened up to Kuea, telling him stories of his childhood, explaining what their visits had meant to him. He explained that even as a young boy he had always done his best to be well-behaved and well-mannered around Kuea and his family. "I did all this because I respected your grandfather. And another reason is... I had to make myself suitable for a young master... My fiancé." Lian said, his eyes full of love.

"You did all that for me, since you were that young?" asked Kuea. Lian smiled. "My parents didn't want other people to gossip about us. They didn't want others to think that my family was leeching off of your family. But for me, I didn't care what other people thought... I just wanted you to feel lucky to be engaged to me." Kuea's eyes welled up, a single tear rolling down his cheek. "I wanted you to feel that you could rely on me when we lived together", Lian continued. More tears rolled down Kuea's cheeks softly. He felt overcome with joy, love, pride... "Hia..." he said softly. Lian continued: "I didn't want you to feel embarrassed to have an ice delivery boy as your fiancé." Those words broke Kuea's heart. He felt a tightness in his chest as he retorted "I've never once thought of it that way." "I know that you've never felt that way...", said Lian, "but I wanted to prove to you and to other people that I'm ready to take care of you for the rest of my life."

Kuea couldn't hold back the tears that were now streaming down his face. These words from Lian were more than he had ever hoped for. Lian got up, slowly walked around the table to Kuea, then, reaching out, he cupped Kuea's face with his hand and kissed him softly. He leaned back so he could look at Kuea's face as he stroked his soft hair. "Hia..." Kuea said, "you make me feel special." They gazed lovingly into each other's eyes, then Lian asked "Can I sleep with you tonight?" Kuea sprung out of his seat. "What? What did you just say?"

"You slept in my room last night" Lian responded, "So tonight I'll sleep in your room instead. Let's take turns." Kuea tried not to smile as he said "You can't... Are you going to do what you did last night... Every night?" he asked. Lian smirked. "Sure. Because I liked it." "I don't think that's a good idea" responded Kuea, thinking about what would happen if their parents found out about their pre-marital activities. "If my mom finds out, she'll scold me". "You don't have to tell her. There's no need to tell aunt Kewarin. And I won't tell my mom either." Lian said. "Hia!" exclaimed Kuea. He looked up shyly at Lian, who was grinning from ear to ear.

Lian grabbed his hand and walked him over to the living room, then sat down on the couch, pulling Kuea onto his lap. He tried to rain kisses down on Kuea, who squirmed in his arms, chuckling. "That's enough. Stop it!" He pulled himself off of Lian's lap so that he was now sitting on the couch, but Lian wrapped one of his legs over his, locking him in place. "I'm tired now", Kuea pouted. "Hia, you keep teasing me!" "I'm not teasing you... I'm serious.", Lian responded, looking deep into his eyes. "Serious about what?" asked Kuea. "Can I sleep with you tonight?" Lian asked again. "Why do you have such a strong desire?" Kuea asked, blushing. "You have to understand me..." Lian started, "I've been waiting for ages." Kuea's heart pounded, his face turning bright red.. Lian kissed him again. "Noo, that's enough" Kuea laughed, "Stoppp it" he said, feeling ticklish under Lian's touch. Lian kissed his neck, his cheek, his lips... "Hia..." Lian kissed his lips again. And again. Suddenly Kuea didn't feel ticklish anymore.

Placing a hand on Lian's thigh, he kissed him back passionately. His tongue reached out, exploring Lian's mouth. He stroked Lian's warm tongue with his own. Nothing he had ever tasted had come even close to the deliciousness that was Lian's mouth, Lian's tongue. As he continued feverishly kissing Lian, Lian's hand came up to the back of his head and grabbed at his hair. With every stroke of his tongue, Kuea could feel Lian grabbing his hair harder, more desperately, until...

"Oh!" Lian's engagement ring had accidentally pulled out some of his hair as his hand moved through it. "Sorry!" Lian quickly apologized. He looked down at his ring. "It's ok", responded Kuea with a warm smile, wanting to reassure him. He brought Lian's hand up to him and tried to take off the ring, but he was scared to hurt Lian. Lian took it off and handed it to Kuea, who placed it on the upper part of the couch.
