because of the way the girls walked out, the backstage doors were still open so when geri started talking, you could see mel b standing at the side of the door.

mel b appeared at the top of the stairs and the crowd produced a thunder of applause, she walked over and stood next to geri, placing her head on her shoulder and arm around her waist.
it wasn't verbal but you could see mel b saying
